    Vacuum seal bags are so good if you have to fly often. Especially in winter; squishes puffer jackets down to the size of a sock.
    If you slip a dryer sheet in the bag, it helps avoid that weird smell you get from the plane too.
    Edit: Specifically the ones that work with vacuums. Most AirBNB’s have a vacuum they’ll let you use for when you have to fly back home.

    I am on the Airline side with cheating weight limit, because the aircraft is designed and certified to operate within a certain weight and balance limits, exceeding these limits can be dangerous.
    And i know you will say well 5 kg difference will not change anything in the whole mass. But if everyone does it, then it could easily doe something. It is really bad logic, where you justify yourself breaking the rules, because you expect everyone else to follow them. So there feels like no danger if only you break them just this one time.

    • @richarddaigle8777
      @richarddaigle8777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      They dont weigh anyone though. A plane full of 300 pounders would be treated the same as a plane full of ducks. You know what difference it makes? Gas mileage and space in the cargo for lucrative deliveries. Airplane companies dont give a shit about you, all that matters is the profit margin.

    • @shawdou3327
      @shawdou3327 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@richarddaigle8777 Your argument doesnt make sense. Every company works to make a profit, that is point of the company.
      But every vehicle has some weight limits and for planes it has way more regulations then for example for cars. They have some calculated average weight for person + luggage and since it is hard to control person person part of that calculation, they have to control the luggage one.

    • @TumblinWeeds
      @TumblinWeeds ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shawdou3327 and yet they’ll still let you carry anything on with a fee. I’ve literally never seen something $100 can’t fix, so they’re clearly not even close to capacity. The only limit is their wallets

    • @TumblinWeeds
      @TumblinWeeds ปีที่แล้ว

      Also a single human can shift the weight by hundreds of kilos, and they have to account for that possibility. Don’t tell me that if Connor was 5kg fatter the plane would go down. In fact, if everyone was 15kg heavier it should still run, which is way more than the variance of luggage smugglers. Connor’s was a big deal, usually it’s 1-2 kilos max.

    You should always travel with two high quality colour photocopies of your passport with you. Just the pages with your informations. Usually that and two official id cards like a driver license should be enough to fly back to your home country. It also very useful to speed the process to re-issue a new passport at the embassy or the consulate.
