I ride mine in street most of the time, I switch to sport on the highway/expressway. The engine response is so much nicer. I love that bike will allow the rider switch modes on the fly...extra caution needed of course.

Hi,. It is my first naked bike. It is a strugle to ge past 160kmh because of the wind. How is with the windshield, it does make a difference?
On my 2020 790 upto now its had the Booster Plug and K&N filter and yes it does make a difference ! single seat back end fitted, EBC sintered brake pads fitted and yes it now pops your eye balls out ! not quite Brembo style but so much better than the standard pads, went down 1 tooth on the front sprocket and atm im not sure on this ! wheelies better and i was hoping it would help smooth out the snatchy throttle round town, what i deffo noticed was its dropped to 47/48 mpg from 52 mph so if you dont mind the loss of a few mpg then go with the 15 front sprocket, oxford heated grips lubly jubly for those frosty mornings going to work ! bar end mirrors much better looking than the standard mirrors, tail tidy fitted but if it rains OMG take a brollie ! as the water off the rear wheel with the tail tidy goes up your back onto your helmet and a few times onto the dash ! im thinking of putting the standard number plate holder back on ! and finally and best of all mods is the LeoVince twin can exhaust system £320 direct from leovince to the door in 4 days ! fitted in an hour and removed rear pegs at the same time ! oh my those cans look so sick ! i fitted the CAT delete pipe at the same time and jeez it was so so loud i had to put the CAT back on and it sounds so sweet, also tried the CAT delete with the standard banana can and boy does that sound good ! it sounds better than the LeoVince twin cans ! it spits and pops and cracks and reminds me of my RD500YPVS it crackles so much ! i might end up going back to standard can with CAT delete just for the sound, have 2 other KTM bikes the 640LC4 sm and the big V twin 950sm this 790 is deffo a keeper and gets used more than the other 2.

How do you find it a year on compared to your 950sm?
It would be nice if people like you would understand that having such a loud bike is a nuisance for others
Booster plug will smooth things out...easy to install on the 790.

15t Front Sprocket. The best £12 you'll spend on the bike.
Brakes aren't great at all as there's just so little feel from the front and no bite. They stop you, but not with much confidence. A change of pads to EBC HH or SBS are a massive improvement.
They are awesome though for a lot of the reasons that you say and I love mine also. The power is ideal, they're small, flickable and like a BMX on steroids with one of the nicest standard exhaust notes I've heard.. the pops and crackle on deceleration are addictive. Still had to change it ha.

@@JuniorMotorcycles definitely give the pads a change before you try anything else. The standard ones, although marked as SBS HH, are poo. With the EBC pads they're fine for the road and the odd track day, without going down the MC route. Still lacking a little on the pressure front, but not enough to worry about in my opinion. The best change though without a doubt was the front sprocket. It should have been that way from factory.
How badly does the sprocket change mess with the speedo ? And will do, already adding a set to the basket
