- When these Become the Villain DLCs we’re first announced for Far Cry 6 I was very excited specifically for The Vaas: Insanity and Pagan: Control ones but I was also a little concerned that Ubisoft may ruin these characters or portray them in a way that isn’t true to how they were and who they were in their respective games. However after Vaas Insanity those concerns were annihilated, I loved Vaas Insanity, they had such a good understating of the character and expanded upon him, his backstory and some of the other side characters in significant and meaningful ways making Vaas an even better antagonist than he already was. Now I was really hoping they could do the same for Pagan Min and I think it’s safe to say this Far Cry 6 Pagan: Control DLC is everything I wanted and more. Let me know what you guys think of the Far Cry 6 Pagan: Control DLC and what you'd like to see in Joseph: Collapse when it comes out in March. I always spared Pagan. I feel really bad for the poor guy. He's infinitely more likeable than Amita and Sabal.

So killing Pagan Min is the canon choice. I never could kill the guy at the end. I even preferred the crab Rangoon ending.

But he said "I want people think I'm dead..." and in the ending his doughter said he don't belong there. I though that means he his still alive and left Kyrat to Ajay, and warn him about the nukes he hide in Kyrat lol
@@punishedraven587 there are also magazines in far cry 6 with pagan on the cover, and the title of the magazine talks about him giving an interview about ruling kyrat so I think it’s pretty much canon ajay let him go

I used to never care for Pagan that much, but after I played this dlc he’s my favorite “villain” in the franchise. When I saw that Mohan killed Lakshmana, I finally understood why Pagan hated him and wanted to crush the golden path. When I play fc4 now, I know I’ll definitely not be fighting for the golden path

Well, you also have to remember that this is literally the exact same thing as the vaas dlc, in terms of all the gameplay systems and whatnot. It's not very surprising that they give it a low score
I was waiting to see ur review since you're really fair with all these. If the Joseph DLC is as good as these 2, this will make Far Cry 6 the best game in the series in terms of Side Content and DLCs, imo.

Pagan:
- Aware of Ajay being Mohan`s son, let him have his heir because he consider him deserve it
- Said he`ll kill a family to become king, but never killed Ishwari and his child even though it`s the only way to become a king
- Trying to fix his mistakes because he look at his own family tearing apart as his failure as a father, and Yuma`s betrayal as his failure as a King
- Ended up choosing family at the end
- "Love this country as I loved you" has better meaning on him
Mohan:
- Doesn`t care if Lakshmana is a child, proceed to instantly kill her
- Said he`ll do anything to make sure Kyrat is safe and not touched by Pagan, actually doing it and makes him a monster
- Never consider that his wife left him because he isn`t care much to her, always believing she was manipulated.
- Ended up choosing his honor at the end

Well Far Cry 4 takes place in 2014, we know that from Ishwari's urn. And we know Far Cry 6 takes place in 2021 because you can see the date on Dani's card at the beginning of the game, so yes Far Cry 6 takes place after 4.
Ubisoft really stepped up their quality on DLC. It's funny how they put more effort in the villains story than the actual main game. This makes me wish we would get actual sequel games to the previous Far Cry titles instead of the DLC similar to Far Cry 5 and New Dawn.
Just realized something. The image with the three villains. They're kinda representing the three wise monkeys. Joseph is kinda like talk-no-evil (or just praying, i guess lol), Vaas is hear-no-evil, and Pagan is see-no-evil.
That is indeed the symbolism intended here.
Vaas: Hear no evil from his sister
Pagan: See no evil of himself
Josseph: Speak no evil to the world
Or they are representing the opposite of what they are.
I gotta say that I enjoy playing this DLC, the color is just so refreshing and has that Shangri-La feeling to it, I like how the Royal Palace looks like Potala Palace in Tibet when seen from a distance. I've seen some people saying that this is just another reskin of the Vaas DLC but it is actually more than that, sure, knowing Ubi you kinda expect this but the DLC really filled in some of the gap in Far Cry 4. I felt so bad for Ishwari in FC4 that her image in King Min's Kyrat was just an ashe jar, they've actually done the models for Ishwari and Lakshmana and damn they are beautiful. I've only played the first mind level and only encountered Ajay as boss-type enemy when defending the statue, and it actually makes sense cos Pagan saw Ajay as a rebellious son, but not so much as how Vaas saw Jason in his DLC where you get to kill him again and again. Some of the vision/delusions were quite emotional, especially when you get to look for Ishwari's diaries, and I like how Pagan kind of mocks players who chose the Kill Pagan ending, and the blow up helicopter thing lol. Speaking of Joseph's DLC I would kind of expect the Marshall in it as in FC5 we didn't quite know how he was brainwashed. Great video as always
It really does look like that palace too. When I was playing the game I was walking up the stiars to the palace and stopping every few steps, just imagining how surreal it would be to walk them every day and enter a palace like that. The architecture and design is unbelievable and beautiful. The fact that people are able to build something like that blows my mind. The palace in the game is more extravagant of course, but the palace in tibet isnt far behind, and it would be crazy to visit it one day.

Pagan definitely is the most underrated villain of Far Cry; it was hard to follow up the performance of Vaas, but Pagan was so funny and witty, it’s hard not to like him even a little. I could never kill him at least face to face, I did accidentally shoot down his helicopter because I wasn’t sure if you could or not lol
I always loved Pagan Min, he (imo) was the best character of the FC francise, then Vaas. The only thing I didn't understand about this dlc is, why his doughter is older, but in FC4 on her tomb the date show she died when she was 1 years old.

I hope the Joseph one is good cos he’s a pretty mid villain in terms of far cry, so giving us a in depth look into his mind will be great for recontexualise some stuff in FC5
I'm excited to see how his dlc will be since the other 2 were mostly about family (Citra, Lakshmana, Ishwari...etc.) and in fc5 i didn't really care much about the plot since the main mission weren't that great to me, so i think that dlc will be more about drama between his brothers and sister or about friend in new dawn that you kill. I'd like to see some explanations becuase the other 2 didn't really add much rather retell the secrets of fc4 but in visions, like i knew Mohan killed Lakshmana becuase of his journal in fc4 and in the secret ending so i'd like to see some new things in that dlc.

I'm glad that this DLC is making Pagan more of a layered and developed character. I always felt that he was a bit underwhelming in Far Cry 4 and didn't have too strong a presence, so to see this DLC delve deeper into his characterization pleases me a lot.

Great video, I really enjoyed this DLC as Pagan was my favorite Far Cry villain already, but somehow it made me love him even more. Personally I don't mind the lack of Amita and Sabal as I had fully expected this expansion to focus more on the events that went down in the 80s when Pagan was taking over Kyrat. Also quite cool to see a bit of glimpse to his days in Hong Kong, honestly I wouldn't mind an animated movie or something that would be set entirely during his Triad days but nonetheless, I'm satisfied with this DLC.
I’m a massive Farcry fan and I’m so glad I picked up the seasons pass for this game cause I was more excited for these dlcs then I was about the main game of Farcry 6. I thought vass insanity and pagan control were all great except I’m the most hyped for Joseph collapse because in my opinion Joseph seed was the best villain in the franchise and I feel that he is a character with so much depth that unfortunately wasn’t explored deep enough in Farcry 5 because of some horrendous gameplay choices. I believe that the Joseph collapse dlc will probably bring some much needed context into one of gamings most unique villains and I cannot wait.

I don't think Far Cry 6 is that bad of a game though. I've been playing it again recently and it's growing on me. I did not like it on release because of Ubisoft fatigue.

Here is the backstory before Far Cry 4:
Pagan was the son of a Triad boss, Gang Min in Hong Kong. He had a tough upbringing and was abused by his father living under organized crime. Despite that, he grew up to be a skilled gangster and was supposed to be the next boss after his father died. Gang also adopted Yuma, whose parents were killed by a rival triad, became a sister-like figure to Pagan who looked up to him. However, going into the 80’s, Gang was growing tired and found Pagan’s extravagant and flamboyant life to be an annoyance and risked the triad’s safety. He also found his bisexual personality very humiliating. Pagan was even buying luxury cars and high end fashion with Gang’s money, who wasn’t pleased. Pagan eventually lost his patience and killed his father. He then took on the role as the new boss of the Triad. It was here where he named himself “Pagan” after the Burmese King of the Konbaung Dynasty who killed his family for power. As Pagan began to lead the triad, there were many allied gangs who cut ties and several even attempted assassination. Pagan and Yuma, along with the his loyal members (some of which were mercenaries) of the triad, left Hong Kong and seemed territory elsewhere.
Around this time, a gold mining company in Kyrat went bankrupt which caused economic collapse in the country. Sparking a uprising by a group only known as the Nationalists who killed the monarchy and took over the country. A civil war erupted between the Nationalists and the Royalists, led by Mohan Ghale who wanted to reestablished the monarch government. The Nationalists had the upper hand, since they were trained mercenaries and had access to attack choppers.
Pagan and Yuma saw this and aided the Royalists through financial and direct support with Pagan’s personal army, who had access to advanced weaponry to destroy the vehicles the Nationalists had. Eventually they were defeated, but Pagan betrayed the Royalists, killing the new heir and sparking the second civil war. It was here that the Royal Army and Royal Guard was formed, the latter being from the triad group. Facing a new paramilitary with bigger numbers and better equipment, Mohan’s forces were once again surrounded. Mohan also had a wife named Ishwari and named his forces “The Golden Path” after a dream she had. Despite being a freedom fighter, Mohan was an extremist. He still wanted the old traditions of Kyrati Mythology to be mandated, including pedophilia and religious based government. Ishwari was 13 when she was married to Mohan without consent. Mohan was even pressured by Ishwari to allow women to fight in the Golden Path. They also had a child, Ajay Ghale.
As the war raged on, Mohan’s leadership of the Golden Path was rather poor. While he had charismatic and moral support, his political and military-planning was based on ignorance and egoisms. He proposed Ishwari as the “Tatum Matara” when Pagan shall be overthrown, without her knowledge. He also rejected military advisement from the CIA, saying that a Kyrati Civil War shall be won by Kyratis, not Americans. Even hypocritical as he accepted American weapons. This strained Mohan and Ishwari’s relationship.
He later tasked Ishwari to be a double agent in the Royal Palace. She fell in love with Pagan and had a daughter named Lakshamna. She even brought Ajay to him. This enraged Mohan and killed Lakshmana, Ishwari then killed Mohan in return, and left with Ajay to the United States.
Pagan was saddened by his daughter’s death and blamed the Golden Path for Ishwari leaving. This resulted in his tyrannical and brutal reign over Golden Path sympathizers. He also realized the CIA had been spying on him, so he bought nuclear weapons should the United States come to aid the Golden Path.
It was Mohan and Iswari’s beliefs which divided the Golden Path between Amita and Sabal’s liberal and conservative policies. It also opens up the heating anger within Pagan on why he hates the Golden Path, but loves Ajay.
For me the (with pagan being my favourite far cry villain) the detail they had put into this, even with areas one would probably miss is incredible.
All 4 options in 'Thicker Than Water' really add to his characterization. Even to the tiniest details like the fact that the pen he uses was from Ishwari, or his reaction to Lakshmanas death.
One thing I really wanted to see is what happened to pagan after the dlc like what we saw with vaas for the true ending for insanity when we saw vaas I know they want the ending for far cry 4 to be the player choice but I don’t think anyone would mind if he survived and made that the canon ending
I think as a concept alone they knocked it ouf the park well done unisoft tornoto and shanghai this made me love far cry villains even more, I really liked far cry 6 and cant wait to see where the franchise will go.

I love the far cry dlc so far in this is such an honest review of like the story in the DLC because most of the reviews have been like all about the gameplay which it’s a fun filler and it’s it’s fun to do the story is what I’m really after because these are villains that I have looked up to or have no down in some light but I still love them no matter what because I had a connection with him and this just furthers that connection I can’t wait for Joseph because he is currently my favorite far cry villain because far cry five was like by genuine first far cry.
Ive always loved FC4. It was the first one in the franchise I played, and I've loved it ever since. This DLC made me love it and Pagan even more.
If they do similar villain dlc for the next main far cry game they could make a set around the twins from new dawn, the jackal from far cry 2 and hoyt from far cry 3.

if your a beginner at the DLC heres some tips i would give, 1 go to options and game settings and set the difficulty to story it will be less stressful since you wont have weapons or traits. once you explore and get all the weapons id highly recommend grinding the health trait up alot to max by just wondering around and killing enemies. once you get all the traits then fully level up the pistol that will be the first best options since you will have to keep starting off with it when you beat it each time. second one id recommend is the machine gun the SSG because it has almost no recoil once you fully upgrade it. once you get all the traits down and the pistol and machine gun upgraded you can up the difficulty if you choose. thats my guide on how to make the game experience alot more easier in the future difficulties. trust me the heath and greed traits are the ones you want the most and the others are not important but you can upgrade those if you want as long as you do them upgrading them in the mirror they always stick with you and dont reset. so if you fall off a cliff and die and you have greed fully upgraded you can get your inventory back where you last died it makes stuff much more fun in my opinion.
In farcry new dawn on the Sam fisher dlc the computer you use to show the nucleae bomb sites and also to unlock the SF outfit also shows in the map a bomb site in the himlayas that being obviously kyrat

In the start of the video it displays the three doing these poses, Joseph covering his mouth (say no evil), Vaas covering his ears (hear no evil) and pagen covering his eyes (see no evil), talk about attention to details ay? I'm not sure if I'm getting it correct but it's those three monkey statues.

I really hope for the joseph dlc we see how he manipulated the seed family. I also hope we get to see how he really believed what he was doing was the right thing. Far Cry was one of my favorite far cry's despite not being amazing, I just wish far cry 5 had a better more cohesive story.

If I was in the world of Far Cry 4 and I had a choice to choose who’s side I’d join, I’d choose Pagan’s side over those Golden Path bastards.
I know Ubisoft has been doing alot of shady shit lately but i definitely can't deny that they have really stepped up their game fantastically for these Farcry 6 expansions! It proves that there are still some great writers and developers left in the company! I can't wait to play this DLC! When u play these dlcs, you learn why the villains are the way they are. In far cry 4, pagan wasn't the real villain, it was your father, amita and sabal
Not really pagan killed normal people.And Yes Mohan gale is not good but i get why did he kill Pagan’s daughter .Because she is the product of Betrayel of his wife’s love and to his biggest enemy.But the kid didnt deserve it.People and mohan fought against the ruthless leader .Mohan lost his life and Pagan too because of their actions! Ishwari who made all issue who is the real villian just like Citra in farcry 3 .Ishwari made situation worse .She worked as a spy and instead “she speard legs for their villian pagan”- Mohan gale.This wouldn’t have happend if she didnt cheat and people shows empathy to Ishwari because she is a woman who isnt a warrior bruhh that is crazy.

In the resist ending Amita or Sabal took the throne and used the nukes
But in the walk away ending for farcry 5 ajay stayed in charge and didnt use the nukes
So farcry new dawn and joeseph collapse happen in one timeline and farcry 6 happens in the other
Never been a fan of Ubisoft but they do have some of my favorite series and recently I have to say they have been doing good with Far Cry 6 and with R6 Extraction I have to say Ubisoft might not actually not be terrible for once so they are taking some steps in the right direction
R6 Extraction is the most Ubisoft game ever. A game made to chase popular trends it's basically Left4dead by Ubisoft

I find this one way more difficult than vass' dlc. I had no idea what a Rouge like game even was till I reached level 4 without dying.
But with this one I have died twice on level 1 lol.
The trails and memories in pagans seem way more difficult to complete, I've only attempted the one in the room with the fire and standing near a statue till 100% and I died on both.
One little thing i wish they did differently- I wish there was a medium difficulty instead of just action or story mode, maybe its a skill issue but its very easy to die over and over on story mode, especially when you start with just a pistol and havent set yourself up yet. I dont think i died once after setting to story mode.
Pagan was always my favorite. Vaas is great but seemed a little more like a croney to hoyt with just a crazy ass temper. Pagan was straight intimidation as a guy who just seems untouchable through wealth and a real military. Plus his attitude reminds me a lot of handsome jack

If the bombs were sent from Kyrat to Montana, and Boomer ended up in Yara, and Juan would do Viviro deals with Vaas, that would connect all the games perfectly meaning that every Far Cry story (minus 1 but maybe including 2) is all cannon with each other.

The CIA agent Willis Huntley that "helps" you, and Hurk the American sidekick in multiple installments make that clear.
Love how the Far Cry DLCs are the total opposite of Valhallas dlcs.

Ishwari Ghale did love Pagan Min, though. She literally says as much in her final letter to him that you can actually find in the Royal Palace at the end of the game and even in the DLC itself.
She only left Kyrat because she was afraid for Ajay's life as well as her own safety after she had killed Mohan. Which is precisely why the DLC's Ishwari cutscenes really piss me off, at times.
I don't know how I feel about the golden path at the end I killed them all. I say the waiting ending is the best one. In my opinion
