- an old project, i actually made a whole episode of Destiny's alternate story, but i don't really know if i can finish it someday, so here the final battle of it...
an alternate ending where we see the conflicts that happened from different perspectives, and another way of how the characters deal with them

I thought shinn was gonna edit his way out of a loss but I guess that's not the point of this story. anyways, great job my man! the guy you like so much happens to be the pilot of my favourite gundam of all time. hope you can make more masterpiece like this one.
if i'm going to be honest, this was supposed to be an AMV about Shinn's tragic story, but after i edited it, it came longer than i expected, more than 20 minutes of the entire alternate story about SEED Destiny, so i altered it into an alternate story and this was just the final part i cropped. i mean, yeah i would like Shinn to be a heroic MC and won, but my vision of SEED Destiny was supposed to be the clash between Kira&Athrun (the hero protags) againts Shinn (the tragic protag) and of course with Shinn's POV as the main focuses, unlike the Anime where it heavily shifted into Kira and making Shinn seemingly became an antagonist. in my version, Kira and Athrun didn't have their plot armor, and Shinn after destroying the Freedom in mid story, basically became the strongests pilot in the C.E settings through hardworks unlike Kira, and acknowledged by everyone. he didn't lose in the battle of Orb (operation fury), and defeated both Kira and Athrun alone, showing more his superiority despite having inferior gens than Kira. as a result, Shinn became an actual threat to them and ironically became the evidance of "gens didn't determine one's Destiny and future", and the only way for Kira and TSA to take him down is to gang up and working together to defeat that said "strongest pilot". Shinn, despite finally having his answers to what he was fighting for and showing his points to Kira and Athrun, lost because the entire forces ganged up on him, giving them all to take him down and Shinn protecting Luna from the enemy(unlike the anime where he somehow kinda potrayed to become so weak and Kira as well as Athrun seemed winning the fight effortlessly), thus not achieving his goals. the rest is just like what showed in this video, more or less.
i mean, i already got to see Shinn won againts both Kira and Athrun from DWG2 and it was super good, but thats why i was trying something different, and approached a similar potrayal of Shinn in GSD manga takayama ban and Destiny the edge series by focusing his POV even more despite the outcomes more or less are the same. (in GSD takayama ban, at the very least Shinn managed to destroy Athrun's meteor unit and knock him down but caught off guard at the end, while in GSD the edge, Shinn managed to damaged Athrun's meteor unit and took infinite Justice's right arm, Shinn's mental breakdown is more apparent which is why he lost at the end, at the very least in these versions Shinn actually argued back to the point Athrun realized what he has done to Shinn, and while Shinn still lost, its definitely not effortlessly or because Shinn was weak). this video is more or less the same, Shinn found his resolves and managed to handle both Kira and Athrun pretty well, but lost due to protecting Luna (which fits his actual character), and ended tragically. even if he lost, at the very least he showed that Kira and Athrun were not always right, making him more sympathetic, rather than Jesus Yamato seemingly forgive him and accept him as if he was always right all along.
and yeah, thank you! i'm also glad that theres still plenty Shinn fans. and just like you, Shinn is my favorite gundam pilot of all time!
@@handa9233 yeah I guess you could say he is my favourite pilot of all time by association since he pilots the destiny and not that stupid kid from build fighters try who used the destiny like a fuckin retard (the fight was epic though) I'm gonna be honest, no anime was able to hurt me the way gundam seed destiny hurt me. I was an impressionable teen when it aired and when it ended the way it did, I was the saltiest I've ever been in my entire life. the hatred I had for kira was absurd (loved his VA though) I wish there were more videos like this back then so it would at least ease the pain a little bit. now that they're making an actual sequel, I hope they don't fuck it up like they did before and give me the closures I badly needed 16 years ago.
@@shhheee well if you ask me, i'm totally fine with how Simon piloting the Destiny, and i kinda liked him tho(but not as far as saying he pilots the Destiny better than Shinn because thats not how Destiny was designed for. if people complained about how Shinn used palma fiocina as shining finger, its more absurd to use it as a power up punch). as for Kira, i'm kinda okay with him and he was fine as a character, but there is definitely something wrong with his potrayal and his direction(and yeah, Hoshi-san is pretty cool). on the other hand, i'm kinda bad with Athrun's character. contrary to what most people believe as him being neutral and pulling his act together, i saw him as someone who is overly indecisive and keep changing sides and moralities, and it is so hard for me to watch him(i mean yeah its kinda understandable but still...) especially when he dragged Shinn's character down(thank God Athrun's Takayama ban counterpart is so freaking cool).
to sum it up though, i had more problem with the directing and the toxic fandoms rather than the characters themselves. and yeah, while i do hope they don't screw the movie up, i wouldn't get my hopes high so i wouldn't be so disappointed when it turned out to be bad, or actually amaze if they actually managed to make it good. Shinn was my gate into the Gundam franchise, and it mentally hurts me for what happened to him around the last quarter of the show.

It kind of weird when many people from west hated Shinn when he is probably the most human and logistic character out of the trio. seriously why people get mad at him after he beat Kira? I mean come on Shinn is a freaking soldier and it is his job to take down the enemy.
It's probably either Kira is their favorite character, or they just think they wouldn't react similarly if they were put in Shinn's position. A lot of them have lines of thought like trying to put the blame on a single variable, as trying to find the root problems, while in reality its an outcome of different situations contributed to the conflicts which filled with grey areas.
Shinn says a lot of awful things, but everything he did are reasonable and actually solves his own problem. Whether he is right or wrong, he believes in what he does.
Kira says a lot of pacifist things, but his actions mostly just make things got worse. His words put him in a higher moralground, but it really ruined the moral messages that the show trying to conveys
Athrun is just confused all the time, and can't make up his mind in anything before completely ruining both sides (Kira and especially Shinn, as he turned into Athrun 2.0 in second half). People tend to say that he is the one who is netral, but personally i feel like he is even worse than Kira nor Shinn, as i find most of the problems that SEED Destiny has came from him

@@flyjunior15seed Destiny main weakness is Kira Yamato himself. If the story writer decided to not put Kira or just straight kill him off in the battle against Impulse, the series could have been much more better honestly. But if they do that, they will lose audience that really loves Kira. Thats why they have to fit The Archangel, Eternal Team and Kira Yamato even though it will make the story much more cramped. Its a lose lose situation

that was spot on, yes, it was supposed to be before the actual episode edit, specifically after Djibril shot the requiem. in this naration, Shinn cursed his lack of power that led the destruction of the PLANT and for failing to catch Djibril. after reminded by Kira's words about people shouldn't shoot when they were interfering on Djibril capture operation, Shinn almost succumbed to his words and almost giving up on fighting since...you know, fighting is supposedly "bad", but Luna, Loran, and Kamille's words pulled him back on track. thruthfully, i've edited a 24 minutes long of this GSD alternative story, but it is still 95% in progress, therefore i only uploaded the ending and final battle. but i feel like the scene with Luna, Loran, Kamille, and Setsuko was really important, thats why i included it at the end to give a good closing for Shinn in this video. (if i put it before the actual video edit, i feel like it would be a weird transation to Strike Freedom getting out of the Messiah).
i mean, Rey being there after getting exploded in messiah is the evidance for your analysis lol

thanks! yes it was Gaia's 1st ED, I had an intention to use SEED Destiny ED 1 reason before but the song is partially blocked to be seen in YT at the time, so I searched for a random song that has similar effects

Seed Destiny could be a really good series but the story is just too cramped and Shinn is given the worst treatment after getting The Destiny Gundam. Honestly, Seed Destiny's 1st half is really good but after Freedom's lost, it just went downhill. Dont get me wrong, i love Strike Freedom and Kira Yamato but its just that Kira was given more screentime than Shinn who is literally supposed to be the main character of Seed Destiny. I dont want to blame anyone nor trying to start a fight. Its just Seed Destiny have a lot of potential if they focused more on Shinn instead of Kira Yamato who may i remind you has completed his story arc in Seed
