- Accuracy is one of the most important parts of angling, you need to be able to casts you rigs to spots and bait accurately over the top.
As we cast further this becomes more difficult as body movements change and more factors like wind become difficult to combat.
This covers the basics of the set up and will help most people a lot.
Please give it ago and I hope it helps.

If you require casting tuitions, thank you 🙏
This is gold dust Terry, just taking on these points i am sat here fishing and baiting the furthest I ever with added confidence. Extra 20 yards than ever before, another 30 is the goal, to if needed fish/bait at 150. Get the body into it and give it some! Practice, practice, practice. (And more of these informative videos 😉)
Brilliant tips as per usual mate I can definitely relate at the end of my session I’m gonna to try this out cheers mate 🎣
Hope it helps mate
The best explanation I found so far..Helped me a lot for better and more accurate casting..Thanks a lot!
Pleased it helped 👍
You nailed my casting straight away.. left hand at target always goes high and right.. great video.. keep them coming please 🎉
I’m loving these videos, I have learnt so much already and I have been fishing for over 45 years.
I’m pleased mate that’s why I do them. Great feedback thanks 🙏
Great video mate 👍. Liked and subed.
There's more to this casting business than meets the eye thanks terry lovin these videos
I think it’s like everything just doing something is relatively easy doing something to the best of your ability means you have to look into things more. Thanks mate 🙏
I've only been fishing for a year and my casting is something that lets me down massively. These videos are brilliant and i'm looking forward to getting on the bank and trying out these tips. Thanks Terry!
Hope it helps mate 🙏
That all makes sense, now to see if I can apply it. Great video Terry, thank you.
I've been making mistakes with my left hand as I always thought it should be pointing to target. Now I know why I had to move my entire body left of the target to be on the target. Awesome advice as always mate. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
Definitely something I could look at 👏🏻👍
Thank you Terry, you again helped me a lot with my two big problems during my cast: when to let the line and how to stop the rod. I am looking foward to see the next session! 😀
Loads more to come mate 👍
Terry, it's really good of you doing this, this info is fantastic. You have just explained in 6 minutes why I am terrible at casting. 😂 Hopefully I won't feel so embarrassed by using your methods when I am next on the bank. A massive thanks 😁😁😁
Looking forward to watching your series because my long distance fishing sucks
Great clip m8 .
Awesome video Terry. Nice to refresh the memory from what you said during the tuition I had with you last year. Amazing how much you forget ! Thanks 👍🏻🙏🏼
👍
This is so useful. I've been struggling with my casts going to the right so looking forward to giving these tips a try. Judging power and hitting the clip right is another area I'm trying to work on. Thanks for the videos
Another top tip video

Always very informative and helpful with your videos 😊 look forward to seeing another more
Thank you mate
So that’s why I’m always casting slightly to the right 🤦🏼♂️ currently doing a quick 24hr session and am implementing my new grip around the reel seat and adding a step in the cast, so far so good! I’ll add your accuracy tips to my casting in the morning or hopefully in the night if I get one!
Cheers for the video's Terry,I do that excact some cast plus I always seem to cast high now after watching I can correct where I'm going wrong, Thanks
👌🙏 thanks
Another great video to learn from I would like to see how to improve my cast for short cast if you can help Terry great videos thank you
My biggest problem is end cast too early. Cast always is going high but i don't have big problem with accuracy. I know that my mind and trained cast doesn't allow me to release my finger too late. Probably also out of fear for the fishing rod.
Letting go early is very common, if it doesn’t cause accuracy problems it’s usually because the body isn’t moving in a powerful way as this changes the plane of the rod 👍
Great video again Terry and very useful information, thanks for sharing. Would be intersting to see what distances are achievable with a 10 footer, 5500xtd and mono.
Depends on mono diameter but up to 30 wraps is fine 👍
How should you postion your feet if you can not turn your hips ie have fixed hips due to back and hip Injury.
Hip injury’s are a problem. Not having one I don’t know what you feel but I would try both feet facing towards the target.
Duly noted 👍, one thing I seem to suffer from is casting left of the target, could this be down to the position of my feet?
You a right hander
@@TerryEdmondsUk I am
what line do u use and breaking strain please
Longrange work 15lb long Chuck tapered by korda 👍
@@TerryEdmondsUk thank you for the reply
@@troywales983 happy to answer any questions hope it helps mate
I'm following your instructions, but sometimes the lead goes to the left of the target, so do you have any advice on where I'm going wrong?
You right or left handed
@@TerryEdmondsUk right handed
@@marioskozrit7370 ok the lead follows the plane of the rod so a few reasons for going left
- letting go to late
- your not lining up for feet correctly
- right hand isn’t going towards the target
- make sure the plane of the rod is towards the target 👍
@@TerryEdmondsUk ok, thanks a lot for the advice, I think I'm letting go too late, I need more training and it will be good, I hope.
@@TerryEdmondsUk the left hand, which actually creates leverage when throwing, most of the time comes to a position in front of the chest as the center, or maybe the stick should be pushed a little to the left of the chest?
Dropping some more pearls of wisdom mate topman 🫡
Will be more lol thank you 🙏
