- A short video of my DP coal train experiment. Approximately 43, RD-4 Fox valley hoppers and 3 locomotives. Two SXT Dash -9s in the lead and a Tier 4 Gevo in the middle. Plus a couple updates on the actual layout. Thanks for looking.

How many linear feet of track is the helix? Nice job on the construction.
@FlyinTrapezious I'd have to do the math. One helix has 8 turns, and the other has 7 turns. Both use kato uni track item 20-185. Outer radii is 18 7/8 ", and the inner is 17 5/8". Just under a 2% grade for both of them. The layout over all I'm not sure on total ft of track. Thank you for your comment.
Try Flooring it....Pedal to the Metal!! Your electricity bill would increase a Bunch LOL!

Nice layout but bad idea to have open ceiling joists above a real dust problem
@othmarbrunner9639 obviously not done with anything yet. I have plans to put up a so to speak ceiling over just the layout. The space between the joists is actually pretty clean. I haven't had a dust issue yet. This is also my 4th layout.
