That was a big Job Ashley, but you and your team mate tackled it without any trouble. As always it is a pleasure to follow your journey in Wood Turning and Wood Working. you might have already had this suggestion, and I am not sure how space you have out back. You could always think about investing in a container to house all your wood you could regulate the temp to keep your wood dry. It would then provide more space with in your shop. Just a thought. Hope you don't mind me saying @5:34 you have the Laptop open when viewing content on your monitors - I have similar set up and for Win 10 users:- there's an option in 'Power Options', 'Choose what closing the lid does' or Mac Notebook - while its built-in display is closed. This is known as closed-clamshell or closed-display mode, the process is automatic.
Indeed, I have re organised my little shop many times. One idea i use for misc dust management is a shower exhaust fan in the ceiling and an industrial fan in the wall that moves large volumes of air out the back. this has made a real difference. :)
Fresh coat of paint on the walls and roof. Some epoxy on the floor. Will change the mood in any shop and create a better atmosphere which is essential. Hanging pictures for inspiration of curved lines or whatever you can draw from I find it very helpful. I'm not a woodworker I work in metals

Organization of the wood is a big problem in my shop. However, when I get into my shop I want to turn or work on whatever project I have going and I don’t want to work on cleaning and organizing stuff as much as it needs to be taken care of lol. I love your work and your videos. I have been looking into your turning classes and been trying to find upcoming classes that aren’t already full.

For me, I gather way to much usable stuff that I never use :-) . Like the idea of wooden panels, one always needs a place to hang new tools and stuff. Nice studio design Ashley!!
One thing - a simple thing - that you should do is paint the ceiling and OSB walls white. With this small investment, it will automatically seem like you have at least doubled your lighting. Additionally, go with LED lighting fixtures. The cost has come way down and you really cannot afford not to: They are simply that much better.
Ashley, would be nice to see a sketch of your floor plan before and after the renovation. That way we could fully appreciate your results. How long did it take from start to finish? Excellent results, but no more chandelier...Marie Condo would be overwhelmed.

Spinning parts of machine tools can appear stationery if the frequency becomes matched with that of switch start battens (50Hz/50 cycles in the UK and 60Hz/60 cycles in the USA)... Both the health & safety executive in the UK and OSHA in the USA take this really seriously... And remember: Ms. Harwood is inviting customers into her workshop studio's for sessions.... And as such will be under the umbrella of OSHA...🇬🇧👍

I am surprised you did not take the back wall all the way to the existing block wall. That now space does not look as accessible or easy to get to. But I'm sure you have your reasons. Love the work you do.
Aw Ashley, why did you go and clean up your shop. I always took comfort in that my shop didn’t look that much worse than yours. I too have a vintage collection of dust, offcuts, “good” and “pretty good” wood, and way too many tools for the space I have. Now I can no longer say;my shop is like Ashley’s and that means.... oh no.... New Years resolutions are in the offing. As usual you are an inspiration young lady. I hope my efforts turn out as well as yours.

Order to disorder is the natural law of the universe, some slow it down ( obsessive compulsive ) . I'm on my third unburying in 30 years, feels fanastic when your done.

Only keep the best! Shop space is premium value, so gotta weed out the less valuable pieces (boring grain, cracks, punky, etc.)
