I found a $50 bill stuffed in a ceramic knickknack yesterday. My first time finding cash at the bins. My total for the day was $50.49 so I was totally pumped!
Hi Amber. I’m binging your old videos. :) This is second video I’ve heard you mention RealTree. Most of the time RealTree refers to the camo pattern, not the brand. Within the RealTree camo fabrics, you’ll find various pattern RT patterns, e.g., RT Edge or RT Hardwoods. Same with other camo fabric manufacturers. Mossy Oak will have various patterns including MO Break Up and MO Bottomland. Various clothing brands use the different camo patterned fabrics to make their product. That’s why you’ll find such a range of prices. Some clothing brands will be more or less desirable and certain camo patterns will be more or less trendy. Hunters will heatedly debate the desirability of the camo patterns in the woods. Anyway, it’s kinda mix and match when it comes to camo! I say MOST of the time RealTree refers to the camo pattern and not the clothing brand. Same with Mossy Oak camo) because both RT and MO have released their own limited clothing lines. You won’t find another clothing brand tag on their private lines though. Just FYI… I do eBay and not poshmark but still enjoying your videos. Thinking of branching out.

@@AmberResells Yes, they do. RT and MO are the two largest camo pattern suppliers -at least in these parts. A few years back, MO sued an up and comer company that infringed on their territory and mimicked their advertising strategies. Court ruled in MO favor. You rarely see anyone in the woods around here (Louisiana Sportsman’s Paradise) in anything but MO or RT and, like I said, the hunters hotly debated which patterns are best. Some are better camouflage on the water (duck hunting) while others are better for fall or dead of winter or whether you’re hunting turkey or deer since the animals have different eyesight. It’s a whole thing. lol

Consider this suggestion. Instead of UPS, check out the cost to take the box to a Greyhound or train station and send it as freight to your town. You may even just purchase a bus or train ticket and not travel yourself. Just meet the bus or train when you get back. Since you’re flying, you’ll get there before the box will. Not sure whether this will work, but it’s worth taking a look into it. I haven’t done this since the 1970s, and times may have changed the viability.

Amber I have to say you are so great with your analitics, which is so helpul when looking for items to pick up and those not to. I just want to thank you so much for all of your vids they are so very helpul.....
I collect jewelry so when people act like savages and they are rushing to find the goods they tend to miss the fine details of a valuable item because it's over crowed, loud, and just too much to go through if your moving quickly. Once the rush is over this is when i come in taking my time , relaxed with my eye loupe and phone examining all the details of all and any suspicious pieces and nearly everytime i score gold, silver or a high end signed piece or at least something worthy to flip. Don't be discouraged by it's been picked over. Example a jewelry jar that looked like garbage that no one bought, i took my chances and found my first Miriam Haskell.

We'd both get a ton of points! I just went on a trip and used my points....so no cost for the hotel for a work related trip!! It's super cool! My mom's been telling me to get it for years and I finally did!! I just put everything on my credit card and pay it off every month! Also, Turo is super cheap for rental cars!!

It’s been awhile since I uploaded this video, so I’m not 100% sure when I refer to this, but my guess is I was referring to the “suggested price” that Poshmark lists when you are creating a new listing. It’s under where you input your listing price.

Yes, on the Family Thrift Outlet. We have one here in San Antonio. You cannot do everything and Houston is HUGE!!! Traffic is horrific! and gas prices! I can find some great items at Family Thrift and it is fun
I loved this video. I just drove to Houston last weekend, and I was there 3 days and I didn’t want to leave. I hit the jackpot several times while there. I can’t wait to drive there again.
I stopped limiting myself to " oh it's been picked over don't bother" until i found a pair of antique gold emerald intaglio earrings after i got shoved out of they way by monsters, what idiots! How could anyone miss those. Just an example not everyone is looking for the same type of stuff, not everyone has the same budget, and not everyone has the same reselling knowledge.
I'm listening as I make a coloring book....and I've clearly been watching too many WhatNot auctions because every time you finish talking about an item, I am waiting for you to say "and we're going to start this one at $5!"

Family Thrift is the spot in Houston puts Goodwill to shame, they have a ton of them in the area and i personally don't think it matters when you go I've went on Fridays and found a bunch of vintage tees before. Wish we had them in Iowa, anytime i visit friends and family in Texas i'm always at the Family Thrift . I spent this past winter in Texas, couldn't take the Iowa snow/ice anymore lol.
I’m thinking of selling all of my things locally and not reselling anymore. The times have changed and the reselling environment has changed with gov. Regulations (taxes) and all.
This is awesome!! For flying after thrifting I use the huge IKEA blue bags that zip up. I double bag those for the plane. They work GREAT! Never had an issue.

The only thing I thought of is that you could have brought zippered IKEA bags and put them in your suitcase to bring with you with straps and luggage tags and not to have to purchase suitcases, otherwise you really did amazing!!! The family thrift center in Houston is wild. People shove to get in first on Thursday morning and grab carts full of items fast. It is worth it as long as you show up early and grab stuff fast. Otherwise you can't look at much because people are hoarding. You have to be quick! Totally worth it as long as you're prepared mentally haha.
Next time you take a trip like that instead of buying a suitcase take a smaller suitcase with you clothes in it and put in the Bigger one so you don't have to buy one
I just went thrifting in Lowa at a local bins and two goodwill stores one in Ames. I was able to hit 3 spots in one day it was so awesome! Was able to find some awesome stuff! Your video makes me want to go on another trip!!
Welcome to my channel! There are so many places in the US I’d love to thrift! With baby coming in a couple months, I think our next mother-daughter thrift weekend will be in Des Moines.
Sounds like alot of fun. If you fly Southwest they allow 2 free checked bags. I also folded up a large duffle type bag in my suitcase so I didnt have to buy a bag to put in my thrifted items.

I love numbers too! I'd love to be able to do something like this too, not necessarily for the profits but for the fun of a trip. Did you not find anything great for yourself in the process? I end up keeping a few things here and there whenever I thrift lol
I got a few outfits for baby girl, and a shirt for my dad! My mom said she would have picked up a lot of stuff for her grandkids if we were in Iowa. I think next time we are going to try 17 hours at the Iowa goodwill outlets!
Poshmark estimator can be helpful because sometimes I can find my exact item easily if I don’t have the item name or details. But they never take rarity or popularity into account. I think it’s because it’s not an actual algorithm, but just a list of same type and brand solds.
You are very informative in your videos. Many TH-cam reseller videos are really just entertainment but you go the extra mile. I hope you rise quick to the top on TH-cam because you deserve it. Lucky booties, good to know. I have probably six pairs I’ve been death piling….Gymshark….I have a NWT gorgeous pair that’s been sitting forever in my closet. If anything, I think I may have underpriced them. I think GS was Instagram popular and now, other brands have replaced them. Like Alphalete.

What is the Poshmark Tool that you keep talking about????
When you create a listing on Poshmark, it gives you a suggested price range. The numbers I quoted were the midpoint of that price range.

The only thing I thought of is that you could have brought zippered IKEA bags and put them in your suitcase to bring with you with straps and luggage tags and not to have to purchase suitcases, otherwise you really did amazing!!! The family thrift center in Houston is wild. People shove to get in first on Thursday morning and grab carts full of items fast. It is worth it as long as you show up early and grab stuff fast. Otherwise you can't look at much because people are hoarding. You have to be quick! Totally worth it as long as you're prepared mentally haha.
Next time you take a trip like that instead of buying a suitcase take a smaller suitcase with you clothes in it and put in the Bigger one so you don't have to buy one
I just went thrifting in Lowa at a local bins and two goodwill stores one in Ames. I was able to hit 3 spots in one day it was so awesome! Was able to find some awesome stuff! Your video makes me want to go on another trip!!
I think the next Thrifting trip with my mom and me will be in Iowa!

Sounds like alot of fun. If you fly Southwest they allow 2 free checked bags. I also folded up a large duffle type bag in my suitcase so I didnt have to buy a bag to put in my thrifted items.

I got a few outfits for baby girl, and a shirt for my dad! My mom said she would have picked up a lot of stuff for her grandkids if we were in Iowa. I think next time we are going to try 17 hours at the Iowa goodwill outlets!
Poshmark estimator can be helpful because sometimes I can find my exact item easily if I don’t have the item name or details. But they never take rarity or popularity into account. I think it’s because it’s not an actual algorithm, but just a list of same type and brand solds.

Lucky booties, good to know. I have probably six pairs I’ve been death piling….Gymshark….I have a NWT gorgeous pair that’s been sitting forever in my closet. If anything, I think I may have underpriced them. I think GS was Instagram popular and now, other brands have replaced them. Like Alphalete.
