RIVERS INLET, HERE I COME! Life as a seasonal chef

This week on Drifting.... North. Lodge Life is back! I am on my way back up to Rivers Inlet for the summer to cook for the staff and guests at Good Hope Cannery.
But first, a quick stop at home to visit my family and a good friend in my home town of Barrhead Alberta.
Coming soon I will show you my commute to work by boat from Vancouver to Rivers Inlet with an overnight stay in Port Hardy.

I moved to Edmonton in 1980 and went to work at the 4 seasons hotel a month later my best friend moved out from Ontario and moved to Barrhead and was the manager of the Alberta treasury branch in Barrhead,great place and spent a lot of time there on days off many memories. Oh i miss lodge life, so many great experiences and awesome people. I was a Chef on the West Coast of Haida Gwaii for a summer years ago, burn out is real for sure but its cool at the same time. Have a great summer!
