Was curious about the last time if ever the Irish started off with 3 42+ point games! Went back to 1940 and Notre Dame hasn't done it. Had some fast starts under Leahy especially in 44. Holtz teams had some stretches of 40 point games but never to start a season.
Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. 1 day at a time. There is a lot to clean up. Ryan said he is confident this team is solid in all areas. I agree wholeheartedly, but they need to put it ALL together in game 4 heading into game 5.
Big teast for a young coach playing sloppy and an hour and a half delay keeps the guys locked in and get a big win. Wasn’t it Kelly’s second year we lost that game to a bad south Florida team in a lightning delay game on a weird day.
Do you think the outcome remains the same if the weather delay doesn’t happen? The way it started it seemed like it was shaping up to be a close hard fought game, which I thought ND would still win in the end. When the delay happened I went to pick up my car from the shop and I thought the delay is going to be detrimental to NC State especially since they and the stadium had so much energy.
