FOUNDATION CHECKLIST
1. Demarcation of the project provided by the AUTHORITY.
2. North direction of the plot.
3. Excavation level from the reference point.
4. Polythene sheet under PCC (under footing) is of 1000 gauge.
5. PCC under footing is 10cm thick and more than the footing’s dimensions
10cm extra on each side.
6. Setback from the front side.
7. Setback from the backside.
8. Setback from the right side.
9. Setback from the left side.
10. Gridlines from each side of the project.
11. Distances and placement of extra/planted grid lines. 12.90 Degree angle anywhere on two (2) places.
13. Placement of steel in columns.
14. Placement of shear reinforcement and C/C distance in columns. 15.Placement of steel and direction of main and distribution steel in footing.
16.Verticality of columns and distance from each face of the column to edge of
footings.
17. Concrete cover blocks.
18. Debris/excavated material removed or place within plot limit and stockpile less than 3m.
19. Development length of footing reinforcement. 20.Development length of column reinforcement. 21.Sizes of the column in each direction.
22. Sizes of footing in each direction.
23. Jack supports/wooden supports and angle wooden supports provided. 24. Site clearing has been done.
25. Project signboard and safety signboard placed at a suitable location. 26. Safety instruments are present on site.
27. First Aid kit present on site.

After back filling of footing and brick works over strap beam, does plinth beam still needed between the columns?

yes it is because strap beam only suppprts foundations and plinth beam tie up the entire building/columns
