I purchased the Ghostek Atomic and i love it! One thing you didnt talk about is the fact the Ghostek is also reinforced with an aluminum frame that adds a little more protection that gives the phone a 12 ft drop rating. Anyway i liked your overall reviews for each case.
I have the atomic slim case also & the only disappointing thing about it was that I think it needs a higher lip around the screen. Especially for that price, $64.
Preparing to upgrade to new 13 max. Current phone has a deeper protective edge on the case with a glass screen protector and even with the higher raised edges the one and only time I’ve ever dropped my phone was in the parking lot at the hospital where I work where the asphalt is “pebbly” and of course my phone landed face down. No scratches whatsoever, but a small rock caught the very edge of the screen protector and sent a crack all the way across. I’m certainly glad that my phone screen was unharmed, but this event made me very wary of cases with such a shallow depth around the edge of the screen which is what I tend to see with all the new cases these days. Dropping your phone on a flat surface with a slightly raised rim will not hurt your phone, but is what we see in all the demonstrations. Dropping your phone on an uneven surface can wreak havoc with any of the new thin designs. I have yet to find a case with a really good protective raised edge around the screen. With having to pay over $1000 (and upwards of $1500) for phone now, I would hope to see case designs with better contact protection, not just from drop impact.
I certainly like the Otterbox Defender cases, I couldn’t locally find one for my XSMax iPhone so bought one called BlackWeb, I love it as much if not more than Otterbox & here’s why, getting into my car my phone fell out of my pocket, as I backed out the garage I reached for my phone to lay on the passenger seat and no phone! Hmmm, I raised the garage door and seen my phone on the floor. On the back of the case I could see tire marks, my biggest fear was my phone was shattered, I turned it over and no cracks or breaks, I couldn’t believe it! Yes people wonder why I cover my phone with a case…. Need I say more?
CASEKII, all the way. Its likely the slimmest case on the market with magsafe. Have purchased a few for 13 pro and pro Max. Also on the front, there is about a 0.3mm protrusion for protection but its quite flush which I prefer for smooth experience while swiping.
I’m the same way, I hate scuffs on my phone and I deal with people who don’t get it, like their phones have cracks and dirt all over it and its like, its just a phone. No, lol, this is a whole computer in my hand, lol, I want it to last forever. Great video, in the thumbnail alone I saw a product I just purchased and waiting in the mail for as we speak so I’m watching in hopes that I made the right decision. The anker magnet instead of a pop socket seems like a great idea.
@@JayyBird93 I bought it and it is a great case if you want something very minimal. Magnets were strong, the rattle was a bit annoying but bearable. I ended up returning it because I realized I want more protection but if you want a minimalist case this one is probably the best.
@@JayyBird93 I bought the dark gray version and it's so nice. I put a thin piece of fabric/gaffer tape inside the buttons. Eliminates the rattle. The camera protection feel like regular logo abs plastic. I felt like they should had used the same material.
