    Two tough and popular wrestlers from the 1970s, Paul Jones and bad man Johnny Valentine! Wrestling will never be as it was here; this was wrestling at it’s finest!

    some feud this was. 2 of the roughest toughest men ever to step into the ring. Johnny Valentine was one of the all time greats.

    my old mans favorite wrestler when johnny was in new york. he enjoyed the rocca matches against valentine. he would tell me in the 80's about it and he would actually get excited talking about their matches. i really wish he would have been around when you tube saved us old time fans. the real deal

      @@grawakendream8980 he told me johnny was brutal he would bend the guy over and pound him with his forearm on his back and head. john was a guy who wrestled on his feet just a big strong guy

    so great that this was preserved. you can see the psychological powers of johnny valentine. this could probably be color corrected and restored with modern technology

    I remember that match the following week Paul Jones had to hand the mid Atlantic belt back to Johnny valentine on TV because valentine had his foot on the rope during the pin

    A young Ric Flair comes in at the end to bring justice to the situation.

    This was the crazy year of 1975 when all film manufacturers ran out of red at the same time.

    Cool footage, but I don't think this was 1975. The feud lasted a few years which makes it hard to date accurately, however it didn't really get started until 1976 and cage matches tended to be towards the end of the feud. I would say 1977 is more likely. Thanks for uploading though.

    How could anyone not take leave of their senses, with those head first slams into that flimsy chainlink fence?

    Sure doesn't look like a professionally made cage.

    • @DJcKreepy

      JourneyToMars nah, back then a lot of times they would just roll out chicken wire around the ringposts which is what they did here

    • @Vulcanrider58
      @Vulcanrider58 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +cKreepy Jones It wasn't chicken wire, it was chain link and they left the top open. I remember seeing Rip Hawk pull the fence into the ring and sticking it into Art Nelson's forehead and leaving him "hanging" from it. Good times...
