I know what you mean about feeling intimidated, but from what I've found most people out there are pretty cool and usually pretty helpful. Dont worry about being the fastest or looking goofy. Just go out there and practice your fundamentals and have fun. Work your way up at your own pace. The woods track is in the back is really good for mastering bike control/ berms, etc...

Love your sentiments, a lot of riders feel like you do. It can be overwhelming. I've been riding my whole life and broken and injured a lot but was never granted the gift of confidence. I love riding, I just can't send it like I wish I could. Just have fun my man. Great vid and commentary!

Thank you for your words, I’ll keep this in mind. I believe this is something I can be good at but not great. It’s definitely all about fun… nothing feels better than landing that perfect jump

You did nothing wrong. For him to pass you then immediately slow in section of the track you wouldn’t expect someone to slow then exit from center of the track shows this rider has no situational awareness. You can’t pass someone and instantly forget they are behind you. His line selection should have been to the far right side of track leaving you no option but to pass on the left and he should have done that before he slowed. That would have created zero conflict. My only critique I have for you is- this other rider had already proven himself sketchy and unpredictable- I would have been expecting him to do something dumb and maybe slowed as you got close to him. Keep posting so, we can see your progress!

Probably shouldn't be on a 450 to begin with.

@@juiceboxjigga hey I gotta give you props though. You understand taking it slow and you need to do just that. Take it slow and practice technique like you mentioned.
I'm trying to break 30 years of riding what I though was ok. Back in the day there was no discussion about technique. Riders rode how they did. Some had their own styles that worked for them. I rode what felt comfortable. Now I'm slowly integrating proper technique. Its a hell of a battle at this point. But im getting there with track time.
