I have set it up the HomeKit. But I receive more than 500 notifications in a day because it sees my wife and child. Although, it has recognised them from my album photos and have selected the "hide notifications" option still the notifications are sent. It's very frustrating because I want the camera notifications if a burglar came into the house but not sending all the time my family. Is there a solution for this?
Correct - but it’s not built into the product itself, which means that if you wanted to use the FR to trigger routines with all of your smart home - you can’t. So point still stands, it needed FR built in for this to work properly.
I recently changed removed my Nest doorbell and scrapped my Google Nest speaker. (Crap in my opinion). I have 2 homes with HomeKit in both. I installed aqara g4 doorbell in one home 1 and works fantastic with the app and HomeKit. Great thing i installed 512 gb card and no more subscription for doorbell (required for any functionality with Nest). Question is want to use an E1 camera at the other vacation home 2-not where doorbell is. Will the E1 just be on same app, different home? Like the HomeKit? Also have Blink cameras both homes which play well on the Blink app, 2 homes. Wish Aqara made wireless outdoor cameras!
Great review and an amazing camera at such an affordable price. The NAS support is killer. I'm actually kind of glad they didn't try to fit another Zigbee hub into it.
Hi Stu I was really looking forward to this Camera to build into my Aqara home system. Picked up two of them last week using a 20% discount code which was valid last week. I wanted to phase out some of my Reolink cameras for Indoor Stuff. I love that it can trigger smart routines but its main function is the camera. Here I am disappointed with it as a camera. The night vision is worse than my three year old Reolink cameras which look the same. The day vision suffers from Noise in the picture as well especially when tracking. Was disappointed no powerbrick was included but a pack of four costs €12 at the moment from Amazon. I have loads of USB cables but not enough 5V powerbricks. Many people might like the privacy mode which you did not mention where the camera will point to a defined space like the wall behind it when you activate this mode. So no one can hack it and watch you in your home. I personally prefer to use smart plugs to completely cut the power to all my indoor Cameras when I manually activate this. So as a smart home camera its great but just as a camera it does not seem so good.
One is in a well lit room and the other not so well lit, however with the current autumn grey both cameras suffer from the quality issues I mentioned, I actually think my Ring cameras are better. 2K should be enough so not sure why it is not giving better pictures.@@StusReviewsUK
Said this on Paul’s video at the weekend, Aqara & Switchbot are the only 2 smart home device makers keeping me interested in the space
I know right - they’re quickly dominating the space 😂

I facial recognition works with E1 in HomeKit.

Could I use this outdoors, if placed under a soffit?

They say wifi 6, but it only connects using 2.4ghz band. They claim it supports Wi-Fi 6, but it only connects using the 2.4 GHz band.
Does it work with Samsung Smartthings?

I’m on with a Blink camera system currently which has its flaws, this looks like a far better/more versatile option

Like I said - the quality is not the best, but not the worst either! Should be sufficient for most spaces. Are you using it in well lit environments?

Hi down there!
Down where 👀
Being a bit of a smart Alec. 😅
In the video you said “so make sure you come and say hi down there”
now you see… if I wasn’t living on 5 hours of broken sleep a night due to a newborn baby, I might have cottoned on to that one. 👀😂.
Hi
Hello.
