Good for you, brother. You got your life together. The audacity of your ex mother in law. She got some nerves to ask you why you didn't take your ex her daughter back. She only cares after she sees you have got your life together and you have money. No one wants her daughter back. She's damaged goods and a waste. If anything, it was a blessing that she's not in your life. Why should she? She doesn't deserve a damn thing. She got exactly what she got a man who doesn't love her and treats her like shit. That's the Hmong way: favor for favor. If you are deemed not useful (time & money), then you are worthless in their eyes. Hmong people in general just don't get the concepts of doing good for goodness sake, being kind for kindness sake, and being generous because it's the right thing to do. Most Hmong people expect a favor in return if they do something for someone else.
