Too many people call it kev Npam to make themselves feel better that there was some kind of justice to those who wrong them but reality is, “doing wrong by someone” is subjective. Most of these stories depict grown adults making poor choices then regretting it later and call upon karma for justice. That’s not how it works. Life happens, illness fall upon everyone of us at some point. It’s just mere coincidence. But whatever makes people feel better, I guess.

I dont know how I feel about this story. The reason I say this is that she had something the old man wanted and he had something she wanted. She had youth and beauty and he married her because of that. He had money so she used him because of that. Theres always conditions in every relationship. He knew what he was getting into when you marry someone as young as your child. As for the sickness there are lots of ppl who get cancer and not all of them npam. I always say: Be very suspicious when a friend/relative hook you up with someone. You need to question how they know each other. In most cases, your friend/relative is that person's former lover or in the case of Laos, just want to use you as a bridge to get their relatives (daughter/son then the whole family) into the US. I used to have relatives. They're all married and said they wanted to find a wife for me. But the only girls they would introduce me to are their former girlfriends, ugly or divorced with kids. When I found 1 on my own, they tried to steal her. When they failed, they lied to me, got caught then even have the audacity to threaten me with a Hmong lawsuit. They did this because I have no parents and no close relatives. They did this because back in Laos, they helped their brother stole his current wife for him from another relative that wasn't as related. They have a lot of friends and relatives who go to Laos every year without their wives to bang nkauj mos ab. So as you know, with Hmong lawsuits, whoever has more relatives wins, whoever has more money wins, whoever is older wins, whoever is meaner wins, just by being a man wins if the other party is a woman. It doesn't matter that they're at fault.
