I lived there for a few years in late 80s to early 90s is a magnificent magical place. A great world unto itself. A great example of a life to live in harmony
i have so many amazing childhood memories from spending a few weeks on Hornby every summer with my friends and living like hippies :D honestly makes me want to cry thinking about how much fun we had.
My wife was born and raised on Hornby - her great-grandfather settled on the island. She passed away last year and I haven't been back to Hornby since - I may never go again....
@@Fabgonecarcamping I lived there for 10 years, it is an incredible place. I left in 1995 so many things have changed, I think. But the beauty and the amazing beaches will still be incredible. There is a forest inland on the island that is government land. You can walk about without seeing anyone. There is no road that goes around the island but you can ride a bicycle all the way around. Words cannot do it justice. You must go and see for yourself. Best time is after summer vacations, first week in September. It has a mild climate, housing is difficult. If you are discreet and respectful you can camp out secretly. Cheers
It's so beautiful. 👍
Thanks phuong 😘

So sorry to hear that. My condolences. I understand the pain. Sending lots of hugs to you.
Many cliches, not much depth. Hornby is a gem.
Please let me know, I love to discover more.
