My dad grew up there and lived on Ludlow, up the street and around the corner from St. Patrick's Catholic church. He graduated from that old high school shown @ 2:05 in 1935's class. They're all gone now, but his family was pretty well known around there at that time.

At 4:28 ... isn't that a pic of the shortest (or first?) Concrete street in the U.S.?

CD 1 it’s not the concrete street but yes it’s McKinley St, Shortest St in America!

I want to thank you so much for this video..The music fits well to it as well..I have been trying to find footage or pics of the north east Bellefontaine area 1960s and before..Its a projectIm doin..Like the municipal pool during its construction, and possum run creek before all the houses took over the area in the mid 70s..the gravel road running between the cemetery and the creek which eventually led out to the water tower. All fields and woods..There used to be a spot in this creek that was nearly 10 feet deep..We used to walk around it when around that area in 60s..The hidden road does have a name I read about but cant remember. We always just called it cemetery road..Also,Allison road before it was paved and cemetery area before it was a cemetary pre-1905 or Dairy Queen in mid 1960s..Stuff like this would be cool too...Again,thanks for the video, its really educating..Hope youll do another one sometime soon.

+ReelNostalgia I wish that there were more trees and that Bellefontaine was smaller. I would love it.

My Dad was born in Logan County in 1905. His grandparents must have settled there in the mid 1800s but Im not sure.

So, exactly what was the principal occupation in Bellefontaine during the 1930's?

No. But most of the platforms, telephone poles, and other small things are still there.
