Do you know what happened when marxist leader Thomas Sankara came to power in Burkina Faso? He vaccinated millions of people, literacy rates increased by vast amounts, and 10 million trees were planted in just four years time whilst he fought for women's rights and a decent standard of living for all. He only accepted a modest military wage himself and demanded that government officials were to only travel second class on airplanes among many other things. He did that by rejecting every cent of foreign aid offered to the country. I am convinced some African countries can do just fine if the west were to leave them alone.

WOW, Wendover! The amount of research and video editing to do Parts 1 & 2 - 2 hours! I estimate approx. 4 weeks of work. Incredible. What a job! I was in Saqqara when the archeologists were there. There was a BBC crew filming a team from Oxford University in one of the tombs when I was allowed to gain entrance (at a small price). Thank YOU!

Not really. There are a lot of different methods for cutting wood, depending which direction you're cutting and what stage of the process you're working on. For a lot of the middle stages between "felling a tree" and "cutting large bits of firewood into smaller bits for kindling", you drive a wedge into the wood, then smack the back of the wedge with a hammer. Safer and more efficient than using an axe, as I understand it.
@@laurencefraser It's not safer, and actually less efficient if you know what you're doing. The only reason to use a wedge over an axe is that you can't split the log in one strike, as is the case for large logs of hardwood or the woodchopper not having enough stamina to repeatedly strike with a heavy splitting axe at full force.

It's such an odd thing to confuse too. Even if you didn't know that meth is an amphetamine, you'd definitely know it's a stimulant, not an opioid. Also when have you ever seen an opioid in crystal form? It's just mind boggling to me.
He probably mixed up the term "narcotic" and "opioid", that's my guess anyway
@@michaelgruar5141 and that's the point where the government fails when calling all drugs narcotics as those are sedating drugs only.
@@joeyjankins I stand corrected - I didn't realize "narcotic" had an actual technical definition, I just assumed it was the standard government "drugs are bad, mmkay" term.
@@michaelgruar5141 in Germany we have the word "Narkose" which means anaesthesia. "Narkotika" is German for narcotics meaning drugs that knock you out.

@@daisuke910 they use amphetamine salts for ADHD not Methamphetamine. They are similar in effect but very different.
@@wickedguitar99 they do the same thing though they (meth) get to the brain faster than any drugs leading to addiction. Funnily enough, people do get addicted to amphetamine and even sugar. Anything can be dangerous without intake moderation. Addition of a methyl group makes it more efficent neurotransmitter

Yet, almost everyone always mistaken Indonesia as small country or sometimes they just thought of us as mini India.
