What brand of sunflower did you use ? Also, any recommendation for flowers to grow during late September that are pet friendly? Can you make some videos if you can ?
If you mean the brand of coleus seeds, I got it from our local garden center and the brand is "Ferry-Morse" ferrymorse.com/products/coleus-rainbow-mixed-colors . And depending on the weather of your area, I suggest to grow zinnia, very beautiful and easy to grow. Here are my videos: th-cam.com/video/nVQgFWwiBg0/w-d-xo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB and th-cam.com/video/ym2IddxQRcY/w-d-xo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB . Happy growing and thank you for your comment!
@@Saffycat1. If you mean the seed for my sunflower video, you can get them online from Burpee, variety is called "Sunray Yellow Hybrid". You may also find seeds by searching dwarf sunflower varieties. Happy gardening.
The seed starting mix is just coco coir+ perlite (check my video here on how to make your seed starting mix th-cam.com/video/cJZcGDAro6w/w-d-xo.html ). For potting soil, you can use any bagged general purpose potting soil, or mix compost+perlite+coco coir. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting.
Light will help germination, that is why you need to barely cover seeds (1/8"), but seedlings light need is same as plants. Part shade/part sun 4-6 hrs will work, and definitely not full sun. A bright window sill is fine too. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting!
Watering depends on the weather and temperature. You want to keep soil moist but not soggy. For more details you can check my video here on how to water seedlings th-cam.com/video/AIeiB31yEJw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_eg6MxnoTaDWq9nT . Thank you for visiting.
They are so easy to multiply. My first time buying them. I put them on my balcony and in a couple hours they were all fainted. They needed water badly.
Glad you love the video. The best would be to trim those leaves. If you want bushy plant, keep stems short, don't worry if you cut down too much, the leaves will regrow soon and stronger. Thank you very much for your comment!
Yes, sometimes the seed mix is not what we want. I suggest to try a new batch. And coleus grows best in part shade, and not direct sun. Happy growing and thank you for visiting!
Thank you for, sharing learning as we grow on TH-cam, mad 💕

Sounds wonderful. Thank you very much for your support!🙏😊
Will they grow inside in the winter???
Yes, move them indoors in fall/autumn before the first frosts. Keep them in a bright spot that gets a little direct sun. Happy growing.
what are the light requirements? i know the plant itself needs shade, but does it need more light when it's a seedling?
