My coleus seedlings are right on target. Now I'm so excited to start my green pepper seeds today. I just love gardening right along with my new friend!!

I used the Jiffy pods with strawberry seeds and marigold seeds. None germinated. I now am not happy with the pods. Any tips? I also seeded Coleous with great success but did the soul blocking method. Only issue was the seed pkg indicated a mix but all seedlings look alike.
All the coleus Seedlings 🌱 will look the same early on. The true leaves in about 2-3 weeks or less will start to show dots or splotches of color. As for Strawberry...never used pods for anything else but coleus .

Hi Jim. The stems of my coleus seedlings are thin, not strong and sturdy like yours. They already have their first set of true leaves and I'm afraid to move them into separate pots because the stems will break. They get 3 hours of sunlight by the window. How do you get thick stems?
I too have some thin Seedlings ..... let them develop a bit more...another week or so then separate them into pots. The stems may be thin but they are Hearty....handle them gently and from the root ball and pot. Increase the light exposure...gently fertilize...the stems will thicken.
I bought two packs of seeds from 2 different places and haven't got a single germination in 3 weeks. Really disappointing plant to try. And I know how to grow stuff, I have hundreds of other seedlings started this year. But this is my only light sensitive seed I have tried and failed with.
Sorry I missed this message Josef. Make sure you aren't Burying your Coleus seeds. Strange that All have failed. Makes me wonder why....perhaps there is something wrong with the Soil...bacteria which is preventing the seeds to germinate. Hmmm very strange. Not that it will help now. .but I do List Coleus seeds on my Ebay account " JIMS COLEUS ".... Sell fresh seeds between October thru Spring or I run out. Will relist in October.
@@Jimswholiestofcoleus i just started a new pack last week in newly made soil mix. Nothing so far. On a heat mat this time. And these seeds had a coating on them, I guess so you could see them. It's hard to keep the surface from drying out with lights on it and heat. The soil ended up molding last time after weeks of misting.

Wow, I’m behind!! I started my seedlings a little earlier than you did, so a lot of mine are past this size. I’m gonna get busy this weekend!!
