As a diehard original Alice in chains fan I must say that after starting listening to this album; this song is in the same class as their old stuff. It got that same vibe.
Not many bands out there have a good come back after losing an incredible front man. Alice In Chains however, are one of those rare bands! Favorite artist💯
Jerry in lead vocals Without Layne- first time in AIC concert- beautiful!!!!!! must have been gut wrenching for him- I cant imagine that pain- to hold that place in front of millions of Layne fans!!!!
This song is such a beautiful ignition to the 2nd life breathed into this band. That opening segment on stage went so well with it. Im sure Layne would be VERY proud. Its very beautiful how their first move in every regard was to say "What happened sucks, we can't change it... but that doesn't have to mean its over"
I was at this concert in Huntington WV!!!! I will always remember as my first AIC concert with my Dad who introduced me to AIC when I was a wee lady! Jerry, Mike and Sean, my deepest respects to you too!!!! I’m a lifetime fan!! Jerry, your voice is unmatched!! And William DuVall, I’m not gonna lie, I was skeptical being an “old school AIC fan, but I’ve seen you 3 times now and you bring the BEST energy, and voice to AIC!!! Still my #1 fav band.
Jerry has become so confident behind the mic, the harmonies are still alive, and the second guitar is a whole new layer on top of the original sound. Love it.
Was watching a Rick Beato video a while back, and I believe he said this is one of the best rock songs ever. I'd agree. This live version is awesome with the drums just pounding away. Sounds better than the studio recorded version.

you mean Degradation Trip? I think he was touring or was gonna start touring when Layne died in 2002
Peter Saints no he means Boggy depot. That album was Jerrys 1st solo project in 1998. D- trip came out later in '02. Just b4 Layne passed.
