One Of My Best Days Fishing Big Swimbaits In Small Urban Ponds!

  • The urban bass scene in Arizona can be a tough and tricky way to fish. Small bodies of water and a lot of pressure makes these fish really smart and hard to catch, especially on big swimbaits. Today, I go out on a beautiful windy morning and try my luck and give some tips and tricks along the way!
    Tackle Used:
    Rod: LowDownCustoms 7'9 MH Workshop Rod
    Reel: Daiwa Zillion HLC 1514
    Line: Sunline FC Sniper, 20lb
    Lures: Roman Made Trick and DRT Tiny Klash

    Epic video dude! I know I commented on one of your last videos that you sold me on a Roman, and funnily enough I also picked up a lipped Trick between now and then. Haven't had a lot of time to throw it just yet, but this footage makes me feel like I just may need to get out tomorrow morning before class and see if I can stick one. Tight lines my man, keep up the content

      @@crazybassfisher We usually go to state parks. Before I started bass fishing on the Potomac River and it’s tributaries I grew up catching mostly striper and croaker on the Chesapeake Bay. We rarely catch bass over 10 lbs out here.

    Yea idk whats up with the roman tricks but there known for being not the best quality. I always hear issues with them from lips falling out to the tail or the bait cracking after a few fish its pretty weird tbh but I miss these vids i always enjoyed ur bank vids since thats all I do so I can relate to it a lot better.

    Hey Geoff, do you think the ghost would have worked inlo trick?
    You throw the ghost w deep lip?

    • @crazybassfisher
      @crazybassfisher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ghost might have worked, I normally don’t fish anything bigger than 9” at the urban spots due to the size of bass in them. I only fish the deep lip around sand/light gravel/ but haven’t got bit with it

    Did you say a TK is your main lure currently? What’s different about them vs the K9 besides size?

    • @crazybassfisher
      @crazybassfisher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mainly use the TiK at the local urban spots, yes. With the TiK, it’s a smaller bait but the ability to have the short lip is killer, able to fish the shallow cover really effectively. I have caught fish on the K9 at these spots before but find I have more confidence with the TiK 99% of the time.

  • @juanitopcortes
    @juanitopcortes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I use mid size swim baits I’ll say, from 2-5oz & it’s funny how many 2-3lbs I catch, haven’t caught anything big yet. But my girlfriend who barely comes with me throws a ned rig and catches bigger fish than me.

    • @crazybassfisher
      @crazybassfisher  2 ปีที่แล้ว
