Hi there, cast iron products are generally rough in surface that is the nature of them and that is what makes then durable compared to other cookware. However with usage and proper seasoning they tend to get better.

By the following seasoning, the black colour will be easily fade away and you can see the original colour of the iron as silver in colour. Please follow the below steps to seasoning your cast iron products. Our products are completely hand seasoned: Will tell you the very easy seasoning steps: 1.Once you received the products, wash them with mild liquid soap and warm water. 2.Wipe it with soft cloth or tissue paper. 3.Pre heat the products for 3-4 mnts under the low flame. 4.Once the products turned cool, apply any cooking oil (as required) Keep the products for 6-8 Hrs. In the next morining, just wipe the excess oil and again pre heat it. Apply the oil and keep them aside for 6-8 Hrs. Repeat the same process for 2-3 times before start to cook. th-cam.com/video/jVgP20pWCSg/w-d-xo.html Maintaining steps: Our products have to be kept dry and be treated well in order to keep them long-lasting without rusting mam. we have shared some of the steps for you 1. Proper cleaning and ongoing care ensure your products to last a century or more. The idea is to begin cleaning the products directly after cooking to prevent rust from forming and enhance its nonstick character. That means no strong detergents and metal scouring pads. 2. Place your products in the sink after cooking while it's still warm and rinse with hot water. 3. Wipe all surfaces clean using a sponge. Rinse surfaces again. Add some Kosher salt (the big grain salt that we used in our childhood in India before the packet iodized salt came into the market), scrub with wet sponge. Rinse again. Then, thoroughly dry the product with a clean cloth. 4. When the pan is completely dry, use a tissue or paper towel to apply a thin coat of cooking oil to the interior to restore its sheen and re-energize its quick-release qualities. 5. Be judicious with the application, too much oil can result in sticky surfaces. 6. Maintain the cleaned and seasoned finish by storing your product in a moisture-free area away from cooktops and sinks. 7.If you notice the pan's surface is rusting, greying, or that food is sticking, It's time to re-season your product.

Hi there, Iron products have to be well treated before they are ready to use. Our products are pre seasoned before reaching to our customers however we recommend seasoning them before cooking for better results. Also, iron products have to be maintained and seasoned well for them to be durable.
I have been repeatedly mailing and calling your customer care for a refund since December 3rd. I have been told that it has been forwarded to the finance team. So far, I have not received a refund. The product reached me in a damaged condition. I feel cheated by your company. I have even registered a complaint at the consumer forum.

@@TheIndusValleyHealthyCookware is this the only way for seasoning?? I can't season for 10 days. I am also planning to buy few Cast Iron Cookwares.
I didn't find the cookware much good. Inspite of seasoning repeatedly they have left with a bluish color residue over the pan
