They are winners at Telluride and Rocky Grass, so technically, #TheFretliners are a bluegrass band, but are they Jamgrass? Newgrass? CountryGrass? JazzGrass?
For my part, I call their show Roots/Grass Music. Lots of interesting arrangements mixed with tried & true arrangements with a traditional old-timey feel.
