Have you read Crooked Kingdom? I was kind of indifferent about Nina and Matthias in Six of Crows but I really love them in CK (Jesper and Wylan will always be my favs though). Matthias is really just such a good person who was indoctrinated into hate but once he is confronted with the truth he tries so hard to fight against everything he was brought up to believe and wants to spend his life trying to de-radicalize others in his situation. He is by no means my favourite character but his character development and his love for Nina is so beautiful. Just my opinion though of course.
yes i have (a very long time ago though lol)! i think i definitely warmed up to matthias through the second book and i definitely think i liked their relationship a lot more towards the end of the duology. i also just watched the last episode of the show and i ate my words as there was actually a moment where i was like “......... wait am i liking matthias right now” i think their relationship is definitely going to blossom in the next season 😭
I didn't vibe with their relationship either, but I, too, was a Nina stan in the books and I'm glad the show continued that tradition for me :D

You should watch shamless is a really good show! Is a sad comedy about a poor family that live on the south side with a alcoholic father and a bipolar mother that left her six kids. And the oldest daughter is like the mother to the rest off the kids, and you get to see there life, real life struggles, and way more is definitely one off my favorite shows! Really recommend it!
i'm not sure but i think it's meant to sound like "zhenya" from evgeniya/yevgeniya? or with the g, like you thought before. the way they ay it in the show does not sound right

"He's a man sooo". Thats kinda sexist. Also disagree about it being the least compelling subplot. It was my favorite. Love the rest of the show but everything else seemed very manufactured. This was the only thing that felt natural. Although it was a little too convenient he was the only survivor
