I think we should've seen more of the Harper that Abby fell in love with it, we needed to see their bond and chemistry in that way we could've felt their connection more and felt more hurt about their short break-up, and towards the ending, we could've appreciated the fact that Harper tracked Abby to fix their relationship and 1 year later gets engaged. I also felt that they could've built the characters of Harper's family as I still feel a little bit of animosity towards them (except Jane) right at the end of the movie.

i 200% agree with this! I feel like i never truly felt a connection to Harper or any of her family even though I could definitely sympathise with her :( really do wish we saw more of her and Abby together so we could root for them a bit more
No, Abby and Riley should not be together as a couple. I mean Abby and Riley were two good people, that they share something in common.
And that is about it. There is no evidence, that they really has any feelings. Towards each other to suggest, they want to be with each other together.
As I don’t see why they should together, if the story has Abby breaking up with Harper.
If I can at least make a ending that was little longer, I would have if Abby go back home. After she breaks up with Harper, she moved out of their apartment and moved in with John.
After 2 to 3 months later after being separated while living with Jane, I would had Abby either be single or seeing someone else. And it not Riley.
Then Harper try her best to win Abby and have Riley to help Harper to get Abby back, but she isn’t doing this for Harper. Riley is doing this for Abby.
Because she know how much, Abby true love Harper with all her heart.
At first Abby would decline getting back with Harper and maybe another month later.
Abby does forgive and give Harper a second chance, then get they back together again then Harper.
Be the one propose to Abby instead and she accepted, after Harper found out that Abby originally was the one. (John accidentally tell Harper that.)
Abby supposedly be the one to asked her to marry.
It end with Harper’s family accept who she is and have their, blessing to marry and them planning their wedding.

Abbey and Riley had so much more chemistry like I was rooting for them :(

Am I the only one not rooting or wants Abby and Riley to ending up together.
I mean I don’t think that Abby and Riley should be together as a couple, I mean they are two good people that they share something in common.
So I people need to stop rooting for them, because that aren’t real and should not happen.
Know that Harper what a terrible person to Abby, push her to hide her as a roommate. And completely ignoring her during the film, I just think that she was just not realising it’s also affecting Abby.
And what she did to Riley was terrible. But wasn’t exactly all her fault what she did, I don’t think she intentionally tried to thrown. Riley under the bus when some of Harper friends, confront her with a love letter after they found them.
But don’t think that Harper should be hate it that much, because she does feel awful about it later on at of the movie. Because she was just a teen and didn’t really know how to handle the situation, but I see no evidence that they really has any feelings towards each other to suggest.
