Larry you're doing great for the community, be blessed.
Thanks Larry for highlighting not just a wicked car, but another (generally) unknown legend of the car community. 🤘🏻
My parents have not uncovered their Porsches in years. My moms 68 911S Targa Softwindow has been sitting for 25 years, since it was last driven. My dad has a 73 911 that was upgraded to an 85 Turbo Carrera using all Porsche sheet metal and had a V8 swap…back in 85. Neither has seen the driveway since the mid 90’s.
Sounds juicy, what are you waiting for man?!
Y u make us sad
@retardno002
My mom is sad... the car is buried behind other cars, and I don't think my dad has a lick of interest in trying to move a bunch of cars to get it out. It is what it is. Hell, the other cars need to see some sun.
Soft window? My god keep it covered! In fact keep the garage locked ! 😎
In fact what’s your address .. and the code to the security system
When you consider other well-known air-cooled 911 restomods are going for 1 million plus, 400 grand is honestly a bargain. Especially with the knowledge and integrity of this track ready, road legal, gorgeous build.
You pay the 1 milli for the Singer name and bragging rights. This ain‘t no Singer, it‘s basically a tuner track rat. A very, very, very nice one but still. 400k puts you in 964/993 RS/Cup territory, those are original P cars with actual race homologation. Though sell.
the restomod nonsense is also massively overpriced. I realize if you want to sell cheap work and materials for a lot, just sell porsches. These guys will buy anything
Bargain ? Ya right go ahead and make your day. I rather get myself a 997 mk2 gt3 rs
@@kerm281 cool
It's a buyer's market. Who cares if modified cars historically go for salvage price at auction, maybe tuners will finally get the same recognition as the OEMs
magnus walker casually stroking his beard:longer life
Magnus is British, he wouldn't pay 1/3 of that...
Every car he has,he bought at basement prices.....yeah this doesn't make Magnus, even ponder, a few seconds.....
@@MindDezign he never said he was at a yard sale trying to buy it.
Man, it’s such a well balanced creation of form and function. If you had the means to buy this and just stuck it on display it would be viewed and pondered as art. But then, it was engineered to be on the road or track to be experienced. That engine lid though, the fit and finish, the paint decision with the lacquered raw carbon is perfection for this build. I love the fact that there are no extreme, exaggerated elements. No wide body nor massive tail or polarising colour. But looking closer the carefully considered and crafted elements begin to reveal themselves.
Such an awesome build. You can see how happy the owner is driving it. It's nice when builds come together. Smiles per gallon🏆💪
I love old Porsches and this one is so cool
Man, that is a truly amazing build! The result of many years of constant improvement.
Larry, i remember when this red porsche, project nasty first appeared on Matt Farah's vid from the drive, ty for making a video on this build. still sounds amazing, so bloody awesome to see this car still going, it must have been atleast 8-10 years ago since that video. the noise.
Could it be that a car's association with a TV presenter is actually the reason it won't sell? It's all good for a laugh when you're not picking up the bill
Some nonce on the telly broke the damn thing and it's been sitting broken for a number of years pending litigation against the TV host and the studio but it's finally been patched up and is now available for sale "to the right buyer" pending a new round of litigation
i remember that episode. it use to have a white turbo fan looking wheels and they mentioned how they closed up the sunroof. they are also running special fuel for it. one of the coolest aircooled lightweight 911 build i ever saw. oh and this was before the time singer was popular. such a cool car. hopefully the new owner appreciated the labor of love this car had.
Nice to hear some down to earth and honest facts about power outputs and how much it costs to make it. Brilliant car.
I remember when this was on smoking tire all those years ago when the owner was affiliated with BBi and had those white rims on it. I’ve always enjoyed the random features of this car. So awesome
Loved it, thank you for sharing
Keep it up with your consistent video uploads! Love them.
One of the baddest aircooled 911's ever. Love this car.
This is what a build looks like, good lord it's amazing
larry man you're the best this vibe is unmatched, california, beautiful cars, your marvelous pics!
Always love when you feature this guy.
He is a great ambassador of our hobby.
I love your questions on the features Larry. Keep nerding, Mr Chen!
Absolutely love Joey and what he's built in E-Motion. This video was an awesome dive into even more of that, and something more personal as well! Great piece, Larry
Sits so perfectly!
The fact that it is so clean and you wouldnt notice all the tiny modifications that are all over the car is amazing. The attention to detail is mesmerizing, absolutely love this build!
This rig is EXTRA dope af!!!
nice, subtle and blatantly awesome at the same time
What a beautiful build 👌🏽👌🏽
Everyone’s dream car come to reality
Incredible 🔥
Wow, what a car! Thank you for showing! Love it!
Dang! The paint looks so nice. I have a swb 912 - it’s been sitting for years. This inspires me to get it going again.
Hi, very nice car with lots of amazing details, thanks for this great video, I am working on a similar project on my 964 for a few years, this video is very inspiring.
Thanks for sharing.
this was great... awesome
$300k and wants to keep it “in the family” for him to be able to tinker? May he hard to find such a specific buyer…
Yeah, and while I'm somewhat up to date on my Porsche 911 pricing and even what modified ones can fetch, this is a G Series 911, the only thing potentially keeping it's price relative is that it was originally a Carrera and not a Super Carrera, but it's not a 964 which usually fetch 50-100% over G's. While this one is extremely well done, I don't see it even getting close to 200k, probably closer to 150k.... especially with the chassis mileage that's in excess of 300k miles. Doesn't mean I wouldn't kill to have it personally, but there's no way I'd spend 300 on a G, that's 964 Carrera RS money.
Nah, it would sell pretty quickly.
Those willing to put up the price will likely still bring it back for maintenance/track prep - I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to stay in SoCal
I agree..........there is a buyer that would pay over 250 ez........@@outkast187

Anything is possible. I remember back in 2016 watching a Porsche v BMW Club trackday here in Sydney. A BMW e30 m3 was faster than the 991 GT3s. With enough dollars its possible but you also need to be a talented driver.
Recently had the motor in my 997.1 rebuilt and seriously upgraded. The only thing better than a 911 is a 911 with a built motor.
i imagine the miami blue 991 filming was nesessary to keep up with this. im a turbo guy. im a 996 fanatic, my brother has a 21k 993 turbo in guards. so it was so wicked to see this flyweight tearing past it. what a radical amount of engineering and fabrication that has evolved building this car. i remember matt farrah driving it at Joey's previous shop which will remain nameless because as much awesome he built there its childs play to what he is specializing in. anyone who spends 25 perfecting their craft is going to be pretty goddamn excellent at especially when your starting out working on porsche motorsport cars. i mean really, can you be any more qualified to built just the most unbelievable weapons grade porsche road/track weapons. he is definately a step beyond 99% of the current high racing fabrication shops. outstanding content gents!!!! cheers
Such a humble man with such racing car mechanic experience... ;-)
Loving the multi-generation engine. Awesome project!
Absolutely my favorite car that’s been on the Chanel
For someone who is doing their own Improvement modifications this is awesome
I love everything about this car, and the philosophy of the builder.
Larry you're awesome My dude!
What a great build!
Nasty is my Dream car since more than 10 years !!!❤❤❤ he know that , it is my job to build custom 911's engine and i am in love with this car since years
Awesome build
Never seen a wing like that before. Beautiful vehicle and S-tier individual behind it.
Rolling footage from the second Porsche & the head turns at the light made this video great 🎥
This build reminds me of Jack Olsen’s 911 build, forever evolving it and work with what he has.
For those who don’t know - look up: 12 Gauge Garage
good point......but this one is next level over jacks
@@alpeena yea, of course. Pro vs am., Commercial vs privateer motivations. It’s their pure dedication and mastering the platform is the real story. that is more impressive to me than with than someone chasing the next build.
@@alpeena I got money on Jacks being faster around Big Willow or Streets.
Stunning
Evolution never stops
Amazing and beautiful car. Dream car really
Absolutely nailed the stance an wheel fit on this 😮❤
That rear glass and tubs.. #priceless+carbon pieces❤
This car is killer! Out of my league like the other build from this guy, but great content - thanks!!
I’ve loved this car for years now lol and it’s not mine. Such a fire build.
What an awesome build. Attention to details is absurd, just look at the cage, the wing. Would have loved to hear EVERYTHING. Stance is just perfect, usually 18s look wrong on narrow cars but here it just works.
Nice interview Larry. What a fantastic car. 👍🇦🇺
No bolt left unturned
That's my all time dream car for sure he's even got bbs wheels on it whooowee that's a beauty. I really think he made the right choice with red but personally I think id have mine dark green, grey or probably black even though I know black cars are a pain in the ass but this thing is immaculate. well done👏 ... my god its so amazing I could look at this car all day
What a great build with great attention to detail! That said it probably worth 150k-175k. Its hard to part with such a defining piece of life hence the retail like cost to buy. What is actually a shame is that it won't be enjoyed since it can't be sold to someone who would appreciate it for craftsmanship & heritage. Not a bash on the owner by any means it is truly a marvelous car but like he said its time to move on.
Love it!
I have a 997TT but have always lusted over an Aircooled 911. 993 Turbo or C2S is goals.
Met him at BW many years ago, really nice guy. He was driving this amazing 911.
why the idaho plate? im in boise & i swee the details lol thanx chin, Great as always!
this is the content car guys love
Pretty much my perfect 911
He’s a beast, got a lot of time for Emotions work
Such a rad car. I remember this on a tuned episode I believe many years ago.
Love Porsche but pricing on everything these days and the majority of the people into them kill it. Not to mention how much it costs to get any power out of these air cooled motors
Great build and vid!! Did he mention which transmission is in the car??
Hope you run through the e-motion garage again and show what they're working on!
nice build.
Talk about passion.
beautiful car
Congratulations
Effortlessly stylish exterior!
The owner seems like a nice guy. Thanks for the video.
Very very nice
Beautiful car. She’s perfect
It's perfect! 😍
I like to see a car with rock chips, tells me all I need to know about how it is driven. What a build and great video.
If I had the money and needed a street legal track car, I would be all over this. Without the A/C and sound deadening it wouldn't be something I would want to drive much in the summer but for some track days with the local Porsche owners and an occasional cars and coffee on a Saturday morning, it would be a fun car and it's extremely unique in the way it was put together. Would love to have this in my garage for some weekend fun.
If this 911 has wheels that were 1 in smaller it would look perfect.
I’m getting more and more into photography specifically car photography, and I have a few questions. I use an entry level camera (canon t6) and I have a few lenses. If I want to shoot cars driving fast what is the key to making a picture look as professional as I can. Is it to have the car looking clear while the background is blurred or even have the background in focus as well as the car or even shooting fast enough that the wheels background and car is perfectly clear. I guess maybe a better question is, what are your clients looking for in a professional photographer shooting cars making them feel/look fast?
Real sweet car. The point is to maximise the original engine and improve the rest of this classic shape. Keep it looking fairly original yet drives differently and pretty fast without a huge turbo and it's issues.... Love to do one in future....
Oh that sick looking shifter!. Love it! Wild.
When you build a car (based on experience) you can never recover the cost of all the money and time you put into your projects - - - this is just a well built Porsche ...I'm sure it's worth the money. There's always someone who will recognize value and pay your price!!! Ask what you want.
That’s the nicest ducktail ever
*Whale tail*
For context the duck tail would be like on the 911 Sport Classic.
no ducks here
Best car ever!
The shot of you standing there with a cigarette to try to calm your nerves. Was absolutely hilarious.😂😅😊
Once you see the bad drainage in the back ground, you can't un see it. BTW awesome Porsche.
So much want! ❤❤❤❤
Sweet!
Those fenders are a work of art, they must have took a loot of time to get to this shape.
27:00 rolling shot is 🤌🏼
Omage Larry content is alwaysfire...but thats a driver. Takes skill to push a Porsche like that!
Larry, I still need a peepers for my Z resto mod.....but I heard your brain stop when he said.." sell"
Then as we both heard 100grand for the motor.
You know, we both thought, " That is a lot of Signed Prints !"
Dream car.
You can make another mold easily for the wing.
Good article, nice car, but to be accurate just about any car can tripod - it is almost all dependent on front to back roll stiffness. And MANY 911’s auto crossing on street tires can lift a front tire.
lmao "or I hurt my butt someone how" The Guys eyes was like wait, hold.....
My dream car but i will never have money to buy one😢😅😊 but i can look this kind of videos and good content larry!
its one of ,but its a mixed tunned car...you cant get your money from the tuning...400+ is just imagination ....But the car is amazing! Really pure art!
I so love to have it.
Cool hat.
A couple mentions of long rods, what's the length?
