Got it apart. Got it cleaned. Great video. Putting it back together? Ha-Ha. Called Customer Service and paid for another lid to be shipped to me. Awaiting arrival.
Best video. Found your video after watching a useful one previously and yours is what I call a disassembly. Not those that only done half way. Most important is the middle section! Thanks much
I wish I would have known that little trick about the reversing the circular piece and pushing that plunger out years ago I've had this cup since like 2008 and I snapped a little Hook off banging the plunger piece against the counter to pop it out thank you for that little trick LOL I still have my cup but it has been through the battle been through the war many dense 98% of the paint is off of it pain in the butt to clean trying to get that plunger out really this thing just blessed my years lol
I've had this mug for several years, and thought I knew how to disassemble it fully, turns out I was missing that last step! Was pretty nasty inside. Thanks!
IDK how you figured this out but U R genius!! I never thought of cleaning these parts but now after just few months, it started to fall apart by itself so I was aware I'll have to understand how it works. So, thank you! Btw, I was surprised how sensitive is this strong looking cup. I'm using it actively maybe half a year and it already has a dent on the base and some decolorifications.
Mate. Thanks so much. I’ve just pulled mine fully apart for for the first time (after several years - embarrassingly). So easy. Fortunately it has only ever had black tea in it. Hubby’s is next.
The ring with the wording also has a locating groove. The groove is small and easily missed. The ring can be installed out of that groove as it incorrectly was on my new mug. It will then deform the ring slightly. When I cleaned my lid and installed the ring correctly, I found that the wording, open/closed, were around the wrong way. Nothing I can do will make open and closed be in the correct position. I think it must be a printing error. So for me, open is closed. Not the biggest problem in life but.....
Thanks for the video. I took mine part as well but I might have to take it apart again. The rotating part doesn't seem to be sitting flush with the lid anymore. I went the extra step by removing the white piece from the rotating part as there is one more silicone ring in there. Have you noticed if any water has been getting in between the silver/chrome mouthpiece? When I shake mine I can here some water in there even though the lid is fully disassembled.
I’ve never gotten water in there, no. But you certainly could if you put that part in your dishwasher. The stainless ring is crimped/pressed in place and maybe glued …but most definitely hollow. Extreme conditions could force water in there. Without drilling a hole I can’t imagine a way of letting it out :-(
I couldn’t get the center assembly to “pop” so I used the larger black ring that closes the lid mechanism to provide enough leverage. Otherwise, thank you so much !!
Oooooo there's no elegant fix for that. It's not supposed to come off so you're going to struggle to get glue underneath it to secure it. I recommend you tap a small nail on it to deform the metal slightly - but don't poke a hole through. Not certain that would work TBH. Next I would try drilling a small hole on opposite sides, from the outside of that ring. Then rotate it so your new holes don't line up with either spot you drink from and squeeze some superglue in the holes. No idea how big of a gap there is behind that metal ring but that should harden and stop it from spinning.
Great video, I've been trying to figure out how to disassemble mine for for ages

Great video! Thanks, Anyone had the problem with the steel ring around that top part gone loose or slippery and spinning when trying to open it?
Thank you! I knew there had to be a way! I get milky coffee up in there and 'tis grody!

Anyone find that it pipsntp both open and closed when partly taken apart. But when you put the final piece on it pops open. But not closed?
Thanks for the video!!!
Hi can you help me about this thermos? It's not opening when drinking in the lid
Gracias !!!
Thank you!!
Thanks 👍🏼
Do you have to do this every time you wash the cup?? Thanks

Silver ring on mine is loose so when I close it it just spins around and I can’t get the lid off. Anyone know how to fix that?
