Awesome video! Listening to your journey to Megacade ownership mirrors mine. Watched so many videos and was just in awe of what it could do, put the deposit down, got more serious in finding out more about the machine and all its nuances, but even with a learning curve, I am still so excited. Thank you for sharing this, as it helps me feel like I made the right choice. I can't wait!
Whats up Nelson?!?! Thank you for the kind words man. Happy to hear the i helped put you at ease. The wait is no joke for this machine! But totally worth it!
Great video!!! We have so much in common… love NFL, comic characters, video games, EHA Megacade, Kratos, pizza, stellar editing, and trying to help people make informed decisions!!! Keep up the quality work… eat your heart out Spielberg!
Enjoy your machine, great overview for anyone looking to purchase or is new to the EHA community. I've had mine over 5 years and still learning and always amazed at its awesomeness 😁. Happy gaming.
Really enjoyed your video as well as your sincerity. When you say the machine isn't plug and play, what do you mean by that? What have you encountered that you had to change/modify/fix? Thanks! 👍
Just little things like updating sw or mapping controls. Nothing to crazy that cant be learned. Its part of having it fully customizable. Like being able to play arcade games with a controller or console games with arcade sticks if you are so inclined.
Honestly. It depends on what you want. But yeah it does look like the retrocade is awesome and beats the mega in alot of areas. Customization and drive are better with the mega. Which as i progress in this hobby im finding to be important. Wish they went big box as its really the way to go. And less hassle. But as far as cab itself… i love what retrocade has done. I wanna try that sound system out bad 😂
It would be pretty hard not to be in the fb group and be on the zoom. And i hate to hear that cause its really helpful. Alot of is only have facebook just for this group. If you decide to create an account let me know and i can help you from there. Would be stunned if you regretted the decision.
Thanks brother! Cant wait till you finally get yours man! Please keep me updated. And hopefully you dont hate me to bad for my smooth delivery of the machine i had. 🤣
They were meetings on Wednesday nights advertised im the ehaou group on facebook. The meetings have died down a lot since i made this video. Used to be every Wednesday but now its only the first Wednesday of the month. Im actually planning on doing an updated video sometime in the nearish future with my new thoughts. That being said if you got some questions lemme know! Ill see if i can help
I am in the exact same situation as you were. I just put down my first payment on a pedestal. I am extremely nervous about if I'll be able to get things to work. I'm not very computer savvy. Can you give me some examples of what things need to be worked on? When you say it is not plug and play, does that mean that almost everything needs to be adjusted in some way in order to work?
Most things are going to work well, in my experience its just having the patience and understanding that youre going to have to learn a fee things like which emulator youre in. Adjusting the display settings following set up guide. It’s certainly doable. I would say if you want a machine that can play almost everything then this is it. If you need plug and play and dont want to customize then there are better options. Dont freak yourself out to much. Its very doable.
@@layeththesmackdown Thanks for responding. I've seen a lot of videos of people loving their machines but also a lot of people talking about how many of the emulators either don't work, or they work poorly. I've also seen some people with lag issues. I'm pretty sure my mind is made up but it is a lot of money to spend if I can't get a bunch of the content to work.
@@24danrock ive never had lag issues in over a year now of owning this machine. But from what ive seen in the fb group 9/10 its a display setting that needs to be adjusted that resolves that. And i play arcade classics, pc games, steam games that I downloaded and play online with friends xbox gamepass all the console emulators and haven’t run into really any issues. And if something comes up im able to get help. You said your concern was youd spend all of this money then not get a mostly working machine. In my experience it will more than mostly work even if you know relatively nothing. But there will be times you have to learn to adjust a setting or too. Soo if you want a machine that can do it all and are willing to adjust things from time to time then i do believe youll love this thing. To be even more honest ive enjoyed learning these new things. Gives it another value i didnt even know going in. But thats my perspective…
@@layeththesmackdown One more question. Do you have any regrets about any particular feature that you could have had added into your megacade? Or on the flip side, anything that you could have done without? I'm really on the fence about the tron stick. I also am considering getting guns elsewhere because the gun4ir I hear are a better product. I do plan on playing a lot of shooting games.
@@24danrock can definitely help you out here. Dont do the flight stick alot of people end up regretting it. You can still do flight sticks just get one you can plug in and out when you want to use it. To me gun4ir is 100 percent the way to go. Everything else is a hassle. It’s expensive but its so worth it cause it’s minimal setup and super accurate. Big things that I see alot of people in the group regret are not getting active marquee, and the rgb buttons. Those are hhard to add on yourself later if you wanted them. And as fsr as sticks and buttons i would make sure to tell dave you want I.L. Eurosticks and if you go rgb buttons goldleaf rgb buttons. Also there is alot of great ideas from lots of dudes in the fb group on a post asking this very question. Are you in the extreme home arcade owners unite group? Of not I highly recommend it. So many questions get answered there.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I wanted to be able to play pinball with a more traditional feel. I didnt really care for pinball until l i got my machine but listening to others i thought i might enjoy it later on. Turns out visual pinball is one of my favorite things to play on the machine now. And personally i love the look.
No doubt they are expensive. But to me its all about what you want. For what i wanted im very happy with my decision. Theres def cheaper options but i wouldnt have been as happy.
Nice looking Megacade you got there. I enjoyed your review. Hope you're having the time of your life with this machine.👍
Aye 🤘… thanks for the shoutout! And thanks for all your videos that lead to this one!
