I got Tom's "Gospel Guitar of Mississippi John Hurt.". It was awesome. I'm going to get this one now. I'm glad that you created these for future generations. It's such great music.
Finally! Long ago...after internalizing all the John Hurt Vanguard albums, I heard Frank Stokes and was thrilled to realize I understood what he was doing.
Awesome video Tom and thanks for sharing.
gracias saludos desde Chile .I LOVE YOU
When I play this song I try to bring some of Dan Sane's style into it. After I play G G-F-E-D-C-C brush -now I play with the thumb D-D#-E brush brush.
Whatever Weiner

Mississippi John Hurt style
You’re playing multiple strings not just 6-5-4
this looks hard to play
Will Beckman it’s tough but it’s managable
Welcome to the days when talent was what made you famous...
It's easy like sunday morning
Terrible tutorial, there’s strings you’re not even telling us to pluck. Still appreciate it though
I never EVER heard anyone say anything but how good Tom's tutorials are. 'Terrible'??? I dont think so😕
You’re right! that was an emotional comment I gave, due to a bit of frustration. I’m actually grateful that there’s a tutorial on this song .
I’m a much seasoned guitar player now and can follow the video much better
