very inspiring. some questions made me feel awkward, but it was really interesting to hear the answers. I think she didn't look uncomfortable. just shy.
I love the fact that she embraces the idea of melancholy without relating it to psychiatric ideas of depression. And, despite the other comments, I didn't mind the interviewer.
Yeah have to say, everyone cowing about bad questions, you're missing the point. Another comment noted that this is what you actually wanted to know about her and the band and what they think, how the music is really generated. Yes it's intrusive, but at the very end of the last part of the interview, it's pretty clear, she's just nervous on camera which magnifies the feeling of unease. Overall, they explored very interesting and helpful themes and ideas that I've been wondering about for months having listened to everything they've produced to date repeatedly. The interview was actually excellent. If he had never gone that deep (and by the way allowed her an out every time) we wouldn't see her internal beauty as brightly. That discussion about the reason for writing sad songs...beautiful. :::paraphrasing:::: "Everyone has that sadness in them; I write about it to process it and make music to express it." What a good and admirable thing to say what is true, despite the pain of the truth. If this guy had stayed light and airy fairy, you would have none of the admiration you do for this artist and her cohort you gained from the interview, so get over it and see the bigger picture, she WANTED TO BE INTERVIEWED.
what's wrong with the interviewer? bad questions!! he is lucky to have such a beautiful person who is not running way from this questions. love you elena with your amazing band and music. i'm so glad i found you and i've never expected somebody could describe situations and feelings so aptly. thank you.
Remarkable woman, a fantastic and insightful interview ... been a fan for many years. I relate to her vocals, songwriting and music on so many levels and hoping to listen to many many more of their albums in future. Music that makes ya feel somethin.
Well goodness me! Got through it. Again, loved this opportunity, thx to the interviewer for being so invasive and building upon each questions along with the topic discussed at the moment. Thank you SO much Elena for being so strong and open. This is EVERYTHING I would have wanted to know as a fan. My only concern is for fucks sake if ANY public figure had to ward of the reality of
iNoticed her eyes would tear up. She looked uncomfortable talking to that guy. I love her music it's so soothing. Just wish she didn't have to be sad to write.
She reminds me so much of myself, she is so inspiring to me:) defenetly my fav band, going to see them in concert in a few months!!

God, I love her. I hope they make music forever. Especially when her sad little muse sprouts wings and flies away. That's the hard part.
ELENA ARE YOU SEEING SOMEONE?
YES.
MY HEART BROKE.
I'm in love with Elena, though I'm a girl. I'm definitely in love with her heart and soul, with her music, with her as a human being.
