You must manually caption vids with music because youtube's auto captioning system doesn't work on these, it can't differentiate between the music and what is spoken, so you must do it manually if you want your video to display captions to a worldwide audience. The same way you know the minutes and seconds. Or you could just put in a random number like 500 for the ms because a fraction of a second will not make much difference .

First time tryin this. Trying to figure out how to demo an Excel sheet activity with subtitles. It's just over 2 minutes long with about 12 or so mouse movements and actions. At 24 seconds in, click this..30sec in move here, click that. etc etc. I have it scripted out. Can't figure out what to do first. It's like the subtitles need to be in place first so I can do the mouse movements to "play along" with subtitles coming and going. See? But we can't do that? Can we? If I try to do the actions first, no subtitles, and time it for the subtitles to go in later, its too difficult to try "act it out" there's no time ref. Can't see the timer on VLC cause Excel is on screen. Suggestions?

That depends on the platform. TH-cam allows the individual to change the location by clicking and dragging, and there is no option to change the color. I am unsure about any other media platform.

u could temporarliy change the audio of the video to you saying those things at the right time, get the srt, then change back the audio
