Thanks for your video. I ordered today, and then started doing a deep dive into installation. I read that it says I need 1" pvc line. I only have 3/4". I do have 100 psi (probably need a pressure regulator) and plenty of flow. Will I still be okay with 3/4" line? Hoping to get ahold of their tech support next week.
I’m not sure if that will have an impact on the overall function. My house line is 3/4”, but the line in the ground is 1” PVC… sounds like the 3/4” line is still a “bottle neck” in the system. Sorry for the delay in responding. Hopefully you were able to get hold of tech support.
Super excited about this project! Is this system connected to weather forecast to know when to water and not? Can the system also control a pump to drain a stormwater tank before a storm?
What is the name or type of connection that you installed near your backflow preventer? Do you have any info on that whole setup? Looking to have a plumber install this system and think I want to have them do that part.
@@aperture01 this video has more detail in it at the 3 minute mark: th-cam.com/video/3O45t3Jjkpk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Z1epyLb_p_caSYZ4 But I’ll put something else together too that demonstrates how I winterize it too.
Does irrigreen have a monthly fee? Was going to purchase but noticed $750 for 3 years of monitoring and weather. If so any water savings are lost on this fee
Here’s the response I received from Irrigreen: “The first three years of weather data connectivity is included in your purchase (we simply detail that out in the final invoice). This weather data is what powers our Auto Water feature and enables you to have automatic watering events based on local weather. In the future we expect to bring more advanced features online, such that customers would find value in upgrading to a subscription and continuing to use weather data. But the choice to add a more advanced subscription service after 3 years will always be yours and your system will continue to run regardless.”
There are instructions for well systems. You do need a constant pressure pump though. Full instructions here: uploads-ssl.webflow.com/617c327fc0828e00f382ee01/61b7985ca7f3b7436c1c6ac7_Irrigreen_Installation_Guide_CZ_v2_11_21_click_or_scan.pdf
how much did you spend in total in materials? and how long did it take you to install everything? and how many people did you need to do the whole project?
you can get it at about 30% off the price that you get when you configure it on the site. it will give you an option to talk to an expert and that is where they can give you a better discount. I got mine at all in about 1/2 the price of a regular sprinkler system.

I’ve been planning my Irrigreen system for over a year now. Really nice job fitting everything in that video. Very thorough
Printing water. Wow that's a damn good description. Now I know exactly what this system does.
👍 thanks for watching!
I think it’s a variable speed pump that sprays water at a set distance based on your area preprogrammed into it.
Great video Vince. Looking forward to the next. 👍
Thanks! Next one coming soon.

It’s connected to weather underground. I don’t think it can control a pump.

Let me put a short video together on this. I’ll send a link when it’s posted.
@@TheLawngineer Thank you! Let me know :) You made it seem like a great tool but kinda glossed over it. haha :)

if I get a separate water meter for irrigation only do I still need a backflow system?
@@miltonpadilla7622 might depend on your municipality.

if you are in an area that freezes you will need at least 3ft Deep right?
No, but you’ll need to blow out the lines to prevent freezing.
How will this system do on a well pump with a pressure tank

Man I love the setup for irrigreen I just can’t choke down the price 😭
@@lucasperla7814 they have sales throughout the year. I’ve seen up to 30% off. Would definitely wait for a sale.

@ good advice! Thanks for sharing.
I just wish there was an above ground version of this
If you have a small yard, you could pipe this above ground. I’ve seen people do this.
Wow... I see a lot of "youtube" influencers getting these. Must have a big marketing budget
Yeah. It’s a big push.
