I began attending church at the age of 8 and I had made a "profession of faith" at the age of 10 (after "praying the sinners prayer"). Fast forward to and 44 (5 years ago), God in His goodness who is so rich in mercy opened my spiritual eyes and changed me! I had been a "false convert " for 34 YEARS. Praise The Lord for His longsuffering/ patience with me. I'm thankful for His AMAZING GRACE 😭❤ Tears of gratitude overwhelm me and I'm just so thankful when i see or hear messages of TRUTH like this. So many lead others into "the sinners prayers" . It's no where in Scripture. I spent 34 years thinking i was a Christian yet there was never a CHANGE. I never understood what examining myself looked like. I pray many eyes are opened and hearts changed by God's glorious gospel. Thank you for letting your Light so shine!

I used to get upset about a lot, especially that my husband, as a Christian, always talked so negatively and often cursed ... I always wanted to change him and tried to get it off him but by living and growing in Jesus it suddenly struck us that it no longer occurs, praise the Lord, only He has given us this victory

Am I changing?!” And after joining you on the Cling Study: James, my heart was so convicted on so many levels that I began to get discouraged and encouraged at the same time! Discouraged because I felt so low and encouraged because the Lord was revealing things that sin had tried to cover. People who refuse to admit past wrong doing cannot admit they’re sin and they find all kinds of ways to get around it with excuses. Instead of realizing they are doing themselves more harm than good. Amen. When your changed, your convicted, now when you speak you hear yourself like never before. I used to be in my younger days angry very angry, because of childhood hurts and pain. I had a god mother who once said I was so mean I would fight Satan himself. Yes, ma’am I have been telling a family member for the last four years I am not the same person you knew. And I realized they were testing me and just recently they said, you know you really have changed. Sis. Kim you’re so on point, I realize that though I am not where I used to be, I have so far to go. If Im struggling he will encourage me to pray! Though he doesnt engage in it himself, for now I just continue to pray for him x

Last year I started to realize that my entire life of 30 years has LITERALLY been a huge LIE. I was COMPLETELY Deceived by Satan. I thought I was saved, thought I have very few sins, thought I was not that bad and I don’t really need God daily. I was so lukewarm. Now I see things I was blind to before. I don’t know the person I was anymore. I am so glad God finally changed me. 😭😭😭😭😭 I wasted so many years. 😢😢😢😢😢

For so long I have turned my back on God because I put my job first, traveling, or just things of this world. I only prayed to him when I needed help for myself. I'm taking things one step at a time because like you said it's a journey. How do you keep going and pursuing God and getting to know him with the right intentions? Should I ask him?/pray?
This happened to me.. I was at a drive-in theatre here in Atlanta and the movie I wanted to watch was absolutely terrible... I drove out of there within 15 minutes of the movie lol
