- We made it to the other side of the world, and we're staying in not one but TWO Toy Story Hotels! Molly, Alan, & Max are kicking off their trip by staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Toy Story Hotel, and then a checking out Shanghai's version a week later. Get ready for incredible themed rooms, characters, adorable snacks, and of course, shenanigans!

Molly's genuine reaction to the buzz jammies was hysterical. Also, giggled every time Molly called the Lite Brite, Rainbow Bright cause I can only imagine how many elder millennials were correcting her while watching. The fact that you even had the energy to film is astonishing to me. So excited to see all the new content and check out the new lands. That tangled ride looked incredible in the insta stories and would love to see it come to the "Beyond Thunder Mtn" expansion they keep teasing.

I am BEYOND excited for these Asia blogs......eeekkkkkkk. We went to Tokyo Disney in 2023 and Shanghai this past January. We had no issues with water in China and were there for 10 days...used it for water, food and even drank it. IMO food was better in Shanghai, but the folks that go to the park are more western than Japanese-and I think it is the people that really set Tokyo Disney apart from the others. Shanghai itself may be the cleanest and quietest large city I have ever seen. Those EV vehicles are wild when you are in the Bund surrounded by thousands and do not hear the street noise.

Having been lucky to also stay at both of these hotels, I agree it's difficult to decide which is better. But ultimately, I'm with Alan and prefer the overall feel and theming of Tokyo Disney's.
The tagline for these Toy Story hotels should be "To amenities AND BEYOND!" LOL

I am so happy the trip content has started! This seemed like such a dream adventure and I cannot wait to follow along 🩷🧡🩵. The Asian parks just know how to make every detail as adorable as possible and all the Toy Story amazingness is no exception.
The fact that Shanghai Disneyland is 8 years old AND they have merch to celebrate is kind of mind blowing to me because I was there in May 2018 (just before their two year anniversary) and received a paper cup celebrating the "Grand Opening" from a quick service location. 😂😂😂

Because of your hotel reviews, all through the roadtrip my family and I are currently on, I have been rating/scoring the beds and hair dryers…..sadly, only one of them have been above a 7😂

Love this video!!! Unfortunately I can’t go to Japan anytime soon. So I’m living myself in Japan through your videos!! Both of the Toy Story hotels were awesome especially the Shanghai hotel. The theme rooms look so cool!! And I was happy for Molly to live her Buzz Lightyear dreams. And recently I got into the Duffy and friends line and they are all so cute along with the other merchandise there. But if I had to pick a favorite Duffy and friends character it’s a tie between Shellie May , Duffy or Cookie Ann. 😊❤️💚💜💛💙

Hi Molly, Alan and Max. Ever since you went to Tokyo Disney last year I’ve been hoping you could go again, I’ve spent some time in Japan and Tokyo is my favourite Disney, although I’ve never stayed in any of the hotels. One day, but right now I’m putting Tokyo on the back burner for a little bit and exploring some of the other parks worldwide.
And now you’ve been to Shanghai as well, I’m happy for you and looking forward to future videos.
How did you work out the sleeping arrangements in the end?
Molly you are correct, conbini コンビニdoes come from convenience store, but there is no ‘v’ sound in Japanese so when adopting foreign words they use a ‘b’sound instead.
Thank you for blurring other people while in the parks in Asia, that shows your conscientiousness and respect of other cultures.

Went to Shanghai DL six weeks after it opened and stayed at both the Toy Story hotel and Shanghai DL hotel. Both were great! The Shanghai DL hotel was so beautiful and had very few people staying there. Tokyo is next on my list - hoping to go next fall!!
The height chart in the hotel room is genius, so you can check which rides your kids will fit on

Nobody ever shows the retro style buses that take you to the parks and I think may be free. I am even beginning to think I imagined them during my stay. The monorail is sooo cute I could just ride the loop all day.
