Thank you so much for this pro tip, Devlin. This is gold. I have never thought about it, but this simple change in mindset - to pretend I am teaching someone else and write it all down - and the project ideas are just priceless. This is actually such a great idea. Peer teaching is after all a strategy used in the classroom to help students teach themselves. I never thought of applying this to my learning ID. And, of course, this is a brilliant way of practising applying the theory while adding to your portfolio with meaningful content. 👏👏👏

Thank you for sharing! I have completed my MS in instructional technology and design, and I'm furthering my education in the field with my final/terminal degree in the concentration. I have designed and redesigned several courses for training or classroom courses throughout my studies. The instructional design principles you've mentioned have been instrumental in my work, and I'm shocked to learn that hiring managers are witnessing a shortage of these skills. Your advice on creating content to teach these concepts to others is spot on, and I've found it to be a valuable approach. How long have you been working in the field, and what other skills do you find necessary to have as technology continues to advance?

Hey, Congrats on completing your MS! I'm glad the video was useful. I started as a freelancer in 2017 and now my team and I help people transition into the field :D

Hey Devlin! Thank you so much for all your work, you’re really giving me confidence in transitioning to ID. I just instantly click on whatever you upload because I know it will definitely provide some valuable insight. Aparr from that, I do have a question. Do you have any videos on using Vyond or are you planning on making a tutorial on that?
I remember you telling us just a little bit about it in one of your videos, but I can’t seem to find my way back to it.

Hi Raluca! I am not sure if Devlin has any videos on Vyond and I know you commented a while back but I wanted to recommend Rued Riis's channel as he is a Vyond pro and provides a ton of valuable insight, tricks, and tips for using Vyond! :)

Hi Devlin, great video! I signed up to get your checklist (twice), and it didn't come through. I did check my junk/spam box. Any guidance?

Hey Devlin! I love your videos btw. I have a question, donyou have a video on enhancing your writing skills for Instructional Design. I’m an Instructional Designer and I find it hard sometimes to write content for adults. Is there anyway you can help me?

      Hi @@emilyflowers8118,
I took the three-payment plan and received the login immediately after I hit the purchase transaction button. I was able to start the course right away. I hope this helps.

Hi @Devlin Peck would you consider offering your course that is priced in USD at a fixed equivalent in the students local currency (e.g. US$999 for students in the USA, £999 for students in the UK, and AUD999 for students in Australia, etc)? If you would consider this I would absolutely put my name down for all you offer.

Hey Kim! Thanks for asking :D. I don't have that option, and it would also result in widely varying earnings on my end (since the exchange rates can be vary so much). Since I pay my team and pay for all of my software / business expenses in USD, pricing in that currency makes the most sense for my biz :D. I hope that we are able to see you in one of the courses though if it ever makes sense for your budget!

Really when you design projects your methods and strategies should be included in the wireframe. When projects are pushed on a timeframe that is not actually reality to doing the real work is the problem.
