Yeah 3pm blackout is insane and always has been. The fact that the premier league can sell the tv rights for over a billion, then the tv companies charge people waaayyy over the value for not even the full amount of games (in the UK). Then have the hubris to complain about illegal streaming is beyond me. I wonder why people steam illegally rather than paying for an inferior products... it really is a head scratcher.
Its because to get bums on seats as would lose a lot if revenue to show it live on television. I would go to the game every week but its either too expensive(easily £200 spend with travel and refreshments on top of the cost if the ticket) or the match is sold out so cannot so buggered either way.
