This was the first thing I built but I went all in on buffs. I use yummi as well. I used Xenotype to buff the attach units and Siphoning strike is insane with yummi. Also if she is attached to renekton when you strike they get huge.

the correct play in that case is to pass and take the hit. the only thing gained by declaring it mid attack is giving your opponent (in this case Grapplr) a chance to react e.g. to buff Gnar with shaped stone etc.

@@apocalipsenearby yeah but the value he generates is only through combat which gives place to lots of interaction. I think reducing the value mini gnar gives is enough, we want to balance gnar, not gut him.
While I agree he should be nerfed, that would absolutely kill him as a card for a variety of reasons. I'd much rather they reduced his power. If anything, from a balance perspective, Gnar pre-level should lose the quick attack to make it more of a risk to use him to generate pokey sticks. Or the pokey sticks should be fleeting.
