    Like ‘em or not, The Beatles undoubtedly had the most impact on popular music in modern history. And these four lads do a remarkable job recreating that music. Unfortunately when local governments sponsor gigs like this, you inevitably get a lot of folks that couldn’t care how good they are or how hard they worked to get that good. Those guitars alone are worth about $20K.

    this has to be before the band changed the name to The Fab Four.
    Fun note: the bass player, Ardy, is actually right headed and taught himself to play left handed just to create the 'McCartney' performance. THAT is impressive and guess to his dedication. My Love, Rose, and I saw them recently and were just blown away. We are both big Beatles fans and loved it. I'm a musician myself and played in bands most of my life so i appreciate an the with that they all put in to get it right.

      I must agree about the young guy playing George, hi is a fine guitarist, sounds like George, has a lot of George's facial expressions, very good. One commented on their guitars being safe or not. These tribute bands have stage, guitar roadies, like all professional touring bands do, their guitars are safe, & well taken care of. When people go to see these type of shows, we need to realise, it is a whole show these tribute acts are presenting, so the equipment being used, is identical too that, the real Beatles used in their day, a lot of us musicians who mango to these shows, are purists, who want to look at the instruments being used. Vox amps, Gibson, Gretch, Hofner, Epiphone, Stratocaster, Rickenbacker, guitars & basses, & Ludwig drums, are a big draw card, to the show, & the clothes & boots, shoes, also the wigs, mustaches, all go into making these shows what they are. The hardest part for all these musicians, is the mannerisms, sound of the voice's, the acting, maintaining all this through out a show, is not easy. They need to convince you, the audience, that they are 'The Beatles for a whole show, that can be 3 hours in which to entertain people. They are the closest to the real Beatles, we are ever going to get. You will notice at any of these shows, there are sound crew, lighting crew, guitar tech's, stage roadies, set operators, who change the stage setting, as each segment is presented. So thete is more to a show, than just 4 guys playing Beatle songs.

      He's not bad at all but but would you rate him over Gavin Pring as George? I'd have to say that Ardy and Adam Hastings on stage together is better than Ardy and Gilbert together. But to each, their own..

    Gilbert (John) has performed with the Fab Four several times, so the subbing works both ways. Although I haven't heard anything to confirm the purpose one way or the other, I was under the impression that Hard Day's Night was an "understudy" band for the Fab Four. It would give members experience and practice so that they could fill in as a member of the Fab Four when the need would arise. The set list and structure of the show is pretty much the same for both bands.

      I think it is a ring around for the Fab Four, if one can not do a show, due to other commitments, then who is available to do a show. Ron needed time off, so Adam Hastings from The Bootleg Beatles come in for a while. Adam has his own John Lennon show as well. But he is the closest to the real John I've seen, & heard. Ron does well, this guy here in Hard Days Night tribute does sound a little like John, & is doing his very best. Someone commented on perhaps The Fab Four might have understudy tribute bands, in case they need a standin, this maybe true, but, all the Beatles Tribute shows, all do the same songs, in the same format, right through their shows, so there maybe an amount of truth to this. Or they all communicate with each other, so the standin can be taken from, whom is available. All these Beatle tribute bands do play to a high standard, none of them really lack, each of the Paul's, John's & George's, all play keyboards, so it is a whole package. Some however do have an extra keyboard player sit in, so they may also be using backing track sequencing technology, but each of these bands claim they are all playing everything, it is hard to know this for sure. The average patron, who isn't a musician, wouldn't be able to pick it.
      Beatle's songs aren't that easy to play, & at the same time sound like, talk like, as well as try to act like them, plus they all need to be extroverted, out there, type personalities, to pull it off.
      (Not be shy) that wouldn't work. Merry Xmas.

    • @nevillede-hoedt6520
      @nevillede-hoedt6520 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@patticrichton1135 they are a very good Bestle's tribute show, & thankyou for the correctipn of Ardy, he does a great Paul McCartney. I looked at an interview done with Gavin Pringle (George Harrison in the Fab Four). He was being interviewed by fellow Liverpudlian, viewing how he got the job, plus playing some of his own songs, he has been influenced hugely by (George Harrison) with his own material. It is any wonder, 'The Fab Four' could accually, as a secondary original band, release original songs, by all 4 of them, but does it really matter, if they are by Gavin, he is a very good song writer, & singer/ guitarist. Uncanny, but fitting. He seems to like playing with the 'Fab 4', why not. As good as Ron is at being John Lennon, ( I understand he runs the whole show) & he is a very good musician, plays all instruments, as do the rest of them) getting Adam Hastings in to fill his shoes for a while, was a good move, as Adam does do a very good John Lennon, he does look like him, pulls off John's quirky habits, but sounds like the real Lennon, in every way, very unique. Also a highly talented multi intrument playing musician in his own right. They just got to get Ringo right. There is one of the Beatle tribute bands that did have their Ringo right, those guys, lost their Paul McCartney to a brain tumor, but after loosing him, They had replaced their bass player & drummer, along with their George Harrison, leaving one original member, who played John Lennon. Not really the same band any more, Not as good as they were, but in time these replacements will get it together. So, in my thinking, there is their previous Ringo floating about, who accually looks like the real deal, which the 'Fab 4) could get. Just me dreaming, It's their (Ron) who makes the decision's with this band. If they did this, at least they all would look like the real Beatles. I can't think who this Beatle tribute show are, the footage I refer to is, where the band are playing on a warf, or pier, somewhere, with boats moored about, in the background, & they are dressed in the Jackets that are of a mustard colour, with a badge on each of them, still the collarless look, similar to the Beatles early light grey suits, with the dark beading around the edges. Similar style jackets, they are wearing black trousers, & famous boots. I think they are playing the epiphone 335 semi acoustic style guitars, sunburst, around 'The Rubber Soul's era. This may give a clue to the footage I am referring to, so you, or someone may know the show I am writing about. Check their Ringo out, does he not look like the real Ringo, how he smiles & holds his head throughout the show. Someone please help pin this down. This tribute show are guys who have been around playing the Beatles, for quite a long while, they are older guys, because their George also, in an uncanny way, you can see he would have looked more like George when they first set out to do this show.years ago. Their Ringo is great. Check him out.

    • @nevillede-hoedt6520
      @nevillede-hoedt6520 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patti Crichton,
      I researched the other Beatle tribute band I was trying to recall, they are 1964 The Tribute, previously known as 1964 The Beatles, they had Gary Grimes playing bass, as Paul McCartney, he was in his younger days, almost identical to P. McCartney, a very good bassist, & vocalist, looked like Paul, & sounded like him in most ways. The Lead guitarist who played George Harrison, did uncannily look like G. Harrison, when he was younger, but still had a resemblance to George as he grew older.
      His name is Bob Millen, since been replaced, by someone who doesn't resemble George. The other member that stands out the most, is Greg George, who played Ringo, he resembles the accual Ringo in most ways, the head movements, the facial smile, or look that Ringo had, hair style, the works, & this guy can sing, & play drums , like the real Ringo Starr. This guy would be very suitable for the 'Fab Four. 1964 Beatke's tribute band were amongst the best of their time, due to the fact they were one of the first who started the tribute Beatle's show back, while 3 Beatles were still alive.
      These guys were the best, now they are just one of the many. The replacements, are not in the same league, no offence, just a fact, the John Lennon impersonator, is good with the voice, his look don't look like john Lennon, but sometimes, his voice does sound a little like the real John Lennon. I take my hat off to him, for keeping the 1964 Tribute Show going, but why get rid of Bob Millen, & Greg George?? Sad that while Gary Grimes was with the band, you got rid of Greg George, & then Bob Millen. Both these guy's made 1964 The Beatle's tribute, so authentic, are these 2 guys still around, & are they still playing & performing in the music industry? both such great talents. Check out Ron's video footage of the '1964 The Tribute', titled, ( Our Tribute To Gary Grinds 1986 video) posted by 'The Fab Four site. It will lead to other '1964 The Tribute' video footage, which will show the more recent band lineup, not as good as the earlier tribute show. Thete is a lot more information available as links to this footage, & you will see a decline in the replacements, just not as good as the former.

      The other Beatke's tribute band, are absolutely musically brilliant, are ( Black Bird Live! Entire set ) they're not trying to look like the Beatles, but sound like them, you should enjoy these guy's, as you should The Analogue
      Both extroidinary bands, great musicians. They play everything, no artificial backing tracks going on with both these tribute bands.

      Many bands don't use monitors these days, they wear those little earphones in their ears to hear themselves. Beatles didn't use monitors EITHER when they played live....monitors didn't exist then.

      I have to agree with Patti, the drummer might have had electronic pads attached to his skins, which give a fake woody sound, but at least the sound engineer can adjust the front house levels, to achieve a balanced sound. In ear monitors, for sure, & guitar & bass amps, usually a DI direct out to the PA, amps have built in DI ability these days. Older vintage style, Vox, Fender, Ampeg, these days have the technology, & still maintain the old standard look, that is required here. If you look cosely at some of the Beatle tribute bands, eg. (bootleg Beatles) the bass amp is not a Vox. Some use ampeg or Mesa Boogie.some guitarists use alternative amps, & guitars together, apposed to the authentic styles. I know a few Beatle tribute bands, are using their amp preference, by having g it enclosed in a Vox amp appearance, the audience aren't any wiser, even a lot of musician's are fooled, one can not pick it. But you need to look.closely, or it doesn't really matter. All musicians the world over, have equipment preferences.
      I personally don't use Richenbacker, because, I find the necks too narrow, across, & the frets are too close together, I much prefer Fender, & Musicman. But Richenbacker do look good, & have a good sound. Each to their own.
      Off the cuff, There are the tribute acts/shows, where the musicians are only show casing The Beatle's music, these bands (orchestra's) are some of the best at what they are doing, better than looking at 4 guys trying to be 'The Beatles'.
      'Analogues,' being one, absolutely brilliant, all members being able to play multiple instruments & sing.
      I do enjoy these guys, I think they might be German, but there is possibly a mixture of cultures involved here. They are very good, the light & shade, all instruments being played live, I am.very impressed. There are others that deserve credit, one in particular, I can't think of their name, they don't try to look like the Beatles, there is 7 or 8 members, they could be Spanish, or something like that, they definately aren't speaking English, dress very casual. (The word Soul comes into their band name)
      all sing, sound just like the Beatles, they do the lot, again, a great Beatle's tribute show, songs are fairly spot on, their accents don't get in the way of their brilliant vocals.
      Their presentation is brilliant & professional. I've managed to go right off track again, but as the subject of interest is Beatles, these other alternative tribute bands need a mention, for sure.

      I agree, I am one fan that you will NEVER see sitting like a corpse in the audience. I have to move, even if it's only bopping in my chair!!
