Climbing with one hand and filming with the other, but you climb Everest like you're walking through your backyard. And thank you for this video, the cinematography is the best I've seen so far, and the view from the summit is awe-inspiring.
Because the most difficult part of climbing Everest is making the money to finance the trip. ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can climb Everest it’s not a big deal at all. I just wish these asshats would pick up their trash when they’re done.
For all of us who dreamt of being there but will never be, you just allowed us to reach the summit too, and somehow experienced what you work hard for, all the sacrifices, death defying moments, I salute you!!! Thank you for being so generous and sharing this to the world❤ It’s so beautiful, Mount Everest!
With the increasing commercialisation of climbing mountains like Everest, what a treat and privilege it must have been to stand at the summit, alone, even just for a few minutes. Thank you so much, @Jon, for sharing this with your viewers.

Didn’t realize those mountains were so close. Thank you for the visceral experience with the crampon noises and up close look. Glad you’re safe!

Let me explain how I felt watching you summit with a damn selfie-stick 🤦🏻♂️ A couple of years ago I bought a guitar. I played a little, trained and could play some notes. Then I saw a kid shred the shit out of the guitar as if he had 20 fingers. I sold my guitar. Jokes aside… loved the video ❤️

Well done Jon, the quality of your climbing videos is second to none. Having watched your K2 video, clearly shows in my opinion, the incredible difference between climbing K2 and Everest. The steepness, danger, and technical difficulties of K2 are so much greater than Everest. Thanks for documenting your awesome adventures!

Best I’ve seen. The footage was spectacular! The editing was perfection. Loved the sound. 10 of 10. Thanks.
You’re welcome! Thanks for the comment 🙏
I think I watched all Everest's video summit on TH-cam.
Thank you Jon, and as said by Alberto : it's the best Everest walkthrough I've seen lately.
You made it look like it just a walk-in-the-park. Awesome content ! Awesome 360 quality cam ! The sound is even just fine.
You are so inspiring.....my legs and feet have been hurting because of back issues...but i watch you walk, one foot in front of the other..we live in the mountains...and you make me want to jump up and run up a trail...😊😊
Wha… you only spent 10 hours from camp 4 to summit?? Excellent job. Thanks for taking us on a splendid journey. 🎉 Congratulations 🎊
I never realized Everest doesn’t begin until after the Ice Fall? Base Camp isn’t on Everest? So the Western Cwm is the real base of Everest, Lotse, and Nuptse? Didn’t realize those mountains were so close. Thank you for the visceral experience with the crampon noises and up close look. Glad you’re safe!
Incredible views and angles. People need to know how lucky you were to get great weather to summit. It is rare to get that here. Cudos to you man
This is my favourite everest base to summit video. I keep finding myself revisting it every now and then. Thanks!
You made it look so easy despite the numerous challenges that I have seen in other videos. You are a true warrior bro. Thanks for this amazing video.
Wow! Can you do a video going down everest next please! Congrats on the climb!
I have watched almost all of Everest videos that have been poured in the internet but this one is the best of the best . 🎉
While I know summiting is very hard, you’ve managed to make it look so easy! It looks like a beautiful day with the sun shining and to me, sitting in my couch at home, it amazes me how you don’t get blown off the top with that wind! Thanks you for the beautiful video my friend! 👏❤️😊
You’re welcome 🙏
Again, lots of love Jon 😇😊🙏 You really justify the meaning of ' Ease' . Thank you so much 🙂 Shambho 🙏
I have watched countless mountaineering videos and hundreds of Everest ones - this is by far the best no-nonsense 40 minutes I have seen to the top of the world. The images of the summit are spectacular and give an eye on the topography never seen before. I also love how you nailed Lhoste the following day. Keep up the great adventures
Thanks Mark - much appreciated.
Many congrats on this amazing feat 👏👏👏👏
Wow you amazing Mr.jon , greetings from Indonesia ..
Thank you 🙏
Gee, I'd struggle to make a video of that quality at sea level, never mind on top of the world! Absolutely incredible. Imagine you got back down and your SD card had corrupted :D
38:08 what a magnificient view, this has to feel so amazing, like something worthy to die after
exactly the style of Everest video I've been looking for but never found. Incredible climbing and you captured the landscape so majestically. Excellent voyager!

I've watched so many Everest videos but it was amazing to see this perspective of it, you showed us sides to Everest I would have never imagined seeing. Congratulations on your summit and such a wonderful video!
Thanks Meg, I’m glad you enjoyed watching the video!
Thank you so much! Goosebumps in awe "climbing" with you to the summit.
Among the many things i like about your videos Jon is that you orientate us to where you are on the mountain and the surrounding areas
This dude always makes it look so easy. He must be ridiculously strong because while all the other videos people are struggling to breath and stand, this dudes like "great day, getting some fresh air at this altitude where humans cant live, absolutely amazing."
Just watching this, gives me the shivers and vertigo. I'm holding onto my chair! It's amazing that you and your companions have the strength, stamina and determination to accomplish this feat. I am in awe, and admire each of you for what you've done. Absolutely beautiful views, that I can appreciate, while 'climbing' with you. God bless, be safe, and thank you so very much for sharing this wondrous adventure.
Thank you Christine, appreciate the comment 🙏
I was literally going to say, "My vertigo could never" 😅
Thank you for taking us to your journey! I hope everyone was safe.
I can only imagine the feeling that comes over you when you realize your summit bid will be successful and you face those last few hundred meters feeling physically and mentally strong. This is an exceptional video that I will be watching again and again. Congratulations on the accomplishment and thank you for sharing your experience!
I met a guy when i studied in nepal named tengrath sherpa, he summited everest in 2004 and he used to tell me what a behemoth of a mountain it is and it feels like being in a different planet at that altitude and it all feels like a dream but a very dangerous dream in which u have to stay awake and mind every step you take, slight slip would send you down the mountaing into the roaring abyss of the long spread himalayas.the main objective was not only reaching the summit but getting the heck down, after the tiring climb to the top and thats when the clock starts to tick lying ahead unpredictable weather, fear of avalanches, your body is shutting down slowly and u see slopes and icefalls u have to traverse through the body criea for help after spending time at the death zone where oxygen is depeleted making your brain go awry. To get down and go back home and recoup your body and the thought of the times that were spent in the mountain inspite of the hardwork it took to finally reach the top and see the curvature earth and the entire himalayas to sudden realization that you are at the top of the world, This feeling will forever be haunting me to see the view that only few people in this world has seen is something else.
by far the best put together Everest documentary.....great going Jon....
Let me explain how I felt watching you summit with a damn selfie-stick 🤦🏻♂️
A couple of years ago I bought a guitar. I played a little, trained and could play some notes.
Then I saw a kid shred the shit out of the guitar as if he had 20 fingers. I sold my guitar.
Jokes aside… loved the video ❤️
haha - thanks for your comment! I hope you carried on playing the guitar and instead took inspiration from the kid. I learnt along time ago, that what ever you think you're good at, there is always someone better than you.
Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Big shout out to the Sherpas for all they carry up this mountain and to you Jon for a truly amazing climb and wonderful vlog of your journey. You are an inspiration, truly ⭐️
Thanks for the comment. I’ve worked with these guys for over 15 years now. The most humble and kindest people I have the pleasure of climbing alongside.
and for setting the lines, the ladders, drilling spikes and pretty much ensuring that this little TH-cam video was even allowed to be created. A hand held journey to the top of Mt. Everest - feat Jon Gupta
Godinama gledam uspone na Everest , nikad NIKAD nisam ovako pregledno video Khumbu Icefall ! Hvala za ove snimke ! Thanks for this !
This is an amazing video.
Hi Guy, thank you so much for your "dive on Everest"
Literally being on top of the world must be such a surrealistic feeling.
The absolute best Everest video ever! I’m astonished at how easy you seem to climb but the hours of climbing is impossible for almost everyone. Thanks so much for this!
Well done Jon, the quality of your climbing videos is second to none.
Having watched your K2 video, clearly shows in my opinion, the incredible difference between climbing K2 and Everest.
The steepness, danger, and technical difficulties of K2 are so much greater than Everest.
Thanks for documenting your awesome adventures!
come here after watched Everest from Netflix, you made it seems so easy! the optimistic side of you that only speaks about good things for sure made the other folks around you summitting with a happier face! i would be so calm if someone in the group said its an amazing day through out the whole journey . thank you for sharing this!
Just one word. RESPECT.
Thank you for showing such a spectacular view from the Everest top..just awesome
Glad you liked it
Reaching the summit of Everest is a test of endurance, mental strength, and resilience. As someone who has climbed to the top in 2017, I can say that it's a humbling and empowering experience. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, and for reminding us that we are capable of achieving greatness when we set our minds to it. 🏔️💪 #EverestEndurance #resilience #empowerment
Hi Rahul, congratulations on your summit in 2017, an incredible achievement. It sounds like you had a successful and amazing trip.
I dream climbing mount Everest one day. What does it take? Is it really that expensive? I would approciate if you could share you experience and knowledge about the journey. And do you really see dead bodies along the way?!😳
This man has accomplished more in his life then most of us will ever do.
That's very kind of you, but it's all relative. There are many many things I have not done, or sacrificed in order to spend all my time in the big mountains.
I just wanna say, good job!
@@JonGupta and it looks like this has been reduced to a test of endurance and how well your body can adjust to the height. For the most part people are pulling themselves up the ropes set by others. Thanks for giving us a realistic glimpse of the situation.
Amazing. You’re a legend!
Excellent. I’ve watched 100’s of Everest summit doc’s, your the first to give us more time in each section.Fantastic.Also,I always thought it was a shear drop at the top,now I know. Thanks, really special, you know what the audience wants and delivers. I’m shaving this to my favourites!!
Cup of tea on everest always makes me smile. And any of that standing near the edge of high placesalways gives those zings! My DNA test said Id be afraid of heights and I AM! I mean really….who isnt? Love watching a new addition to everest climbs. Thanks! Love the weird photography at the too. No crowds and great weather!
Best Everest summit video I've ever seen! Great job! Love how all of the different sections of the climb are split up. You make it look easy.

Thanks Anthony - appreciate you comment. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Wow. Best Everest climb video i have ever seen. You talk almost all the time, and still reached the summit relatively easily, for me, is inhuman. But you did it. And the wide angle imagery, my god, So beautiful. What software did you use to take the selfie stick out of the image?
Hi Paul, glad you enjoyed it! The stick gets automatically removed in the GoPro app, its super easy.
Thanks! @@JonGupta
Watched so many everest videos. This is the best, by far. Bravo
Thanks very much John, much appreciated!
