Importance and how to teach Stay Command!!!
Stay command is one of the most important command to teach.
This brings out the confidence in the dog, reduces the anxiety and most importantly improves the relationship between the Dog and the owner.
Stay command makes the dog think and to teach him to stay calm at one place. And when the dog decides to calm and don't move from his place we have to reward for it.
And reward generously when he does a good Stay.
Then slowly increase the difficulty. And repeat the same process.
These are the following benefits of stay command.
1. Decreased separation anxiety
2. Builds confidence
3. Improves the bonding
4. Improves the focus
5. We are encouraging the dog to make good decisions.
Any age is good age for training, but it's always the dog owner's responsibility to guide their dog between which is a desired behavior and which is not.
It's very similar when you teach a human kid on what Is right behavior and what is not.
