Thank you for the video. I bought one of this used in 2006 and it is still going strong. The only repairs I have done so far were changing spark plug, changing blade shaft bearings and sharping blades. Well, the V-belt just gave up yesterday, so it’ll be the next repair. I'd like to replace the brake pads if I can find the spare parts. My only complain is that the chute of the bagging system tends to be clogged often.
I have a this Honda tractor. I HAD IT ALMOST TWENTY YEARS AND IT IS STILL WORKING. It has lost traction to go uphill on a higher gear but when I put on 1 or 2 it goes uphill. Do you think it is the belts slipping on the high gear or is it the engine? Also my break doesn’t work well. Is this something I can change. I really don’t want to give up this machine and buy a John Deere that’s going to give me a lot of trouble. Thanks for any advice.
There may be a few reasons why your loosing speed going up hills from a stretched belt as you said or even the pulley on top of the transmission starting to fail. I cannot give any more advise or diagnose without seeing the machine. The brakes are adjustable on the bottom left side of the transmission (if your sitting on the tractor it is the bottom left). I do not have any information on adjusting brakes at this time. Most all Honda Harmony’s are no longer in service in my area. At least the 5 speed transmission tractors. I still service the hydrostatic tractors as there transmissions hold up well through the years.
We don’t see many of them around anymore. Make sure if you ever need to replace the mower deck belt to purchase the Honda belt from Honda or you will most likely just go through the after market type as they will not hold up. I learned the hard way.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Thanks for the response. Mine is the same as the one you use as a loner. It looks like my belt came off the pully above the rear axel. Its old so maybe its just become warn and loose.. I'm just not sure if I can do the replacement myself. James
Here is a video I made on how to take the mower deck off (the link below). After you get the mower deck off you should be able to see what has happened. th-cam.com/video/JTBmGGfzeME/w-d-xo.html
You can buy aftermarket belts but I don’t suggest it. I’ve been working on these tractors for many years and have replaced many belts and I can say the after market blade belts do not hold up very well. You will need to get the brake pads from Honda. Find a Honda dealer and order parts.
Just picked up a H2013SDA. It will not go into gear. It behaves as though in neutral. On a car. i'd think clutch. I will explore. Hopefully i didn't waste my money.
You will need to remove the mower deck and check the transmission drive belt to see if it’s off anywhere. Then if the drive belt seems to be running properly you most likely have a bad transmission drive pulley on top of the transmission that may need to be replaced and you will be able to tell by the sound of ratcheting noises back at the transmission..
That deck belt engagement is horrible. They should have designed it differently. The way that thing clunks in EATS belts. If you use an aftermarket belt, your f'ked!! Even the genuine Honda belts get eaten, especially the wide side where the brake rides against the belt and wears a groove in it. If you gave me one of these mowers, I'd drive it over a cliff.
I got one that was ten years old , got another 15 out of it and sold it when I moved for $400. Only thing I ever did was change the oil and replace a front tire, great tractor!
Great video just inherited a great well kept used one
That was a great machine. I serviced many through the years but all have retired from old age. Is yours gear driven? or hydrostatic?
Where can I order parts for this machine
Honda Dealership or go to a Honda power equipment parts look up on the internet and once you have the part numbers, you can find parts online.

It is a old but they were great machines! Remember to use OEM mower deck belts as the aftermarket belts do not hold up.

Thanks i just got one of these for free with no stickers or anything. Im surprised its still running lol it was just abondon.
They are older tractors but are good if you take care of them! Good luck with it!
It's running only because it's Japanese technology the best

Thanks for vid Bruh. I just bought one for $250 at estate sale and it’s mint 👌🏻 #RideRed

AWESOME THANK YOU... do you sell Honda parts for this lawn mower?
I’m glad the video was helpful. I do not sell any parts. You need to find a Honda dealer that deals with lawn mowers to purchase parts.
I just bought mine today I'll look into it if you happen to know anybody please let me know thank you
Do you have a video of a drive belt change? I really enjoyed your blade belt change video last week.
At this time I do not. Is your tractor a hydro transmission? or gear driven transmission?

AWESOME just bought one today. Am I able to buy the belt and brake pads from you or where can I purchase them besides Honda?

I’m surprised Honda didn’t keep making this type of model and sell it in big box stores?
I’m pretty sore they don’t sell riding mowers anymore.
I haven’t seen any newer ones on the east coast. I think they priced themselves out of the market.
They were much too expensive to sell in box stores. Even more so the water cooled ones. And no, they haven't made them for years.

It's a bit different from other models. Does it have hidden safety switches ? Thanks for the instructional video. J K
Just the normal safety switches, seat, brake and PTO (power take off "blade engagement").
