Honda Civic 2018 - Factory Data Reset

The Android unit of Honda Civic 2018 provides a Factory menu which appears to be for factory data reset. However this menu asks for a code. You can use the Factory Data Reset option under About menu instead.

Sometimes a reset of head unit can solve camera issue. My back camera used to stop, but was fixed after reset. However, this can also be a fault in camera. If you are in warranty period you can get the camera replaced.

Same is the case with my Civic. Honda has put low power CPU which causes this. Only solution in my view is changing the hardware. Not sure if Honda can help. Third party screen can be an option.

great videos dost. Do u have any how to access the code thou...1. what could be the factory code. Do you think we should ask the dealer? my car is 2018.
2. can i update my android version? its not running youtube or other music apps smoothly .

The book of car may have the factory code, or the dealer may help. As for Android version I asked Honda sometime ago and they said it can’t be upgraded. The main problem is slow hardware so upgrade of Android version will not help anyway. Honda charges heavy money but provides low grade hardware for entertainment unit.
