Hassan is trying to save the skin but Amna’s smirking smile says all. 1. If we agree with you guys about the content not effecting the masses, don’t ever give us a بھاشن about toxic and abusive heroes, innocent and helpless women and cruel in laws because apparently they don’t affect people if they have good تربیت at home. So murder, drugs, homosexuality, black magic, suicide and child abuse ( proud content of Barzakh) is healthy for our society. 2. Amna said in the previous episode “I am not against homosexuality part because apparently I am not doubting the intention of the maker” The make himself clears his intention. So if you are not saying anything, it means you support LGBTQ agenda. period. 3. Apart from LGBTQ crap this project has serious child abusing issues like children using slangs, adult jokes and sexual language. You guys didn’t protest about those as well. Even in India there are strict laws for child actors not to use sexual or near sexual language. But in this project the child actors are using sexual language multiple times. But no issue for you guys who are loving the project. 4. Your over obsession with some big stars, and international platforms takes away credibility from you guys. Learn to stand your ground and call a spade a spade. Apparently, LGBTQ is new criteria to get funding and international recognition. Recent Pakistani projects like joyland , churails and others make it there because they met the criteria. India also gets its way into international platforms like this. You can’t pick any indian project on Netflix without homosexuality theme. Several Pakistani projects much better than the above mentioned never make it to international exposure because they didn’t fit into “the criteria” The intention is loud and clear. Only you guys decided to play blind. 5. Anywhere in the world when a project comes that is against the norms and culture of a society, people protest and show their discomfort with that. You can’t tell them k ہاہ ہائے مت کیا کریں ۔. This statement by Amna alone is very insensitive and wrong. 5. Being a religious follower of your channel, extremely disappointed with you guys especially with Amna for your 360 U turns and confused statements in recent episodes. 😢
Just because Fawwad and Sanam have reputable existence in industry and you guys are fond of their charisma you are not saying anything against them or the project they chose for their comeback just for the sake of your friendships with them. What KRQ did is fahashi and is equally wrong what they are portraying through their projects fahashi, gunah period‼️
Typical hypocrisy! Seen often! it’s not surprising that it would be extended to this topic too. There is no check and balance and the local public isn’t literate enough in basic Islam - the very reason to which they owe their existence and apparently their country’s too! Heartbreaking for any percipient normal Muslim.
Barzakh: I am a teacher by profession, and believe me, children have their way of hiding things in this age. Their parents can never dream of the way and of the things they watch. I think there comes an age of rebellion in every person, where they just like breaking the norms. And if a child isn't well cared for at home (not given the due attention from the family; playing, fun, meaningful conversations) due to the parents' busy schedule, the child ends up looking for an escape. The young minds are very sensitive. They get inspired by the content they watch very, very easily, and it also sometimes changes their personalities as well. I know it is the parent's duty to look out for them, but unfortunately, nobody's perfect.
@@sadiasaleem3551you’re right but watching your own Pakistani actors in a drama doing this is something different They might think ohh it’s ok for our society and religion too!!! Look at the name has been used for the drama…. big disappointment
As a Muslim there's no need to be apologetic about the boundaries set by Islam. What's haraam is and always will be haraam. No matter how many people try to normalize it, it will always be haraam (for Believers, of course). There are various degrees of sins. The filth being shown in #NoBarzakh is crossing all boundaries. The director being unapologetic about promoting Queer themes and agendas says it all. I often found Amna's opinions on such matters to be tilted towards the liberal secrion of the society, whereas Hassan seemed to be more grounded and unapologetic in terms of his religious opinions. Thats something i was hoping to hear. Anyway, I'd like to believe that none of you would want your kids to utter the vulgar dialogues that the child actors had to (you know what I'm referring to) be it in the name of 'a.r.t' or whatever you'd like to term it. Disappointed! #nobarzakh #nofahashi
Can't agree more. You are 100% right that Muslims need not to be apologetic for the Islamic boundaries. Un main rozmarra k dramon main dikhaye jane wali fahashi b shamil hai aur Barzakh ki next level fahaashi b shaamil hai. Ham agar drame dekhte hain, is se ham ye justify nahin kar sakte ki ye dekhne sahi b hain.
@ZubariaAsma I'm a PAKISTANI, PROUD MUSLIM, SAME SEX ATTRACTED (We don't call ourselves gay or homosexuals) INDIVIDUAL. WE EXIST! IT IS NOT A CHOICE! Kiss scence should not have a pigeon between men. Next time there should be a full kiss scence. We pakistani used to see same thing (instead of pigeon there was two gulab ka phools close enough to each other) while ptv showed censored pakistani movies of nadeem/waheed and Shabnam. As a child a teenager ,i always wanted to see the kisses of our actors and actress in those censored scences. Asim ,u still have 80 s mentallity by not showing a simple frienddly kiss. It was not french kiss or meeting of crows(aka 69).
Came here to listen to Hassan and Amna's 'final word' on Barzakh. Leaving after just reading the comments as I would not be able to stand them defending this in the name of 'art'. I feel so happy that our ummah is not asleep and knows how to own our identity as a Muslim.
Clearly you have not heard what they said. Not even once did they support it. Not once. But obviously, we will not listen to what they have to say, we will not even try to understand the context, but we will judge.
AMNA the main reason that people don't react the same way for "Kapoor and Sons" was because its an Indian content from people who belong to DIFFERENT RELIGION and we can't say anything about their religion and people as we don't stant with their ideology or we don't know what their religion say about it but here the drama name, the character name and all the characters are Muslims and the story is about an ISLAMIC state. Secondly the main issue with showing LGBTQ is not that they are showing it, the ISSUE is they are NORMALISING it and SYMPATHISING it which had not been done when our dramas show RAPIST, Alcoholic and any Corrupt people for example when in gentleman FARIS is shown drinking, flirting and taking Haram money, IT IS SHOWN AS HARAM as the father said him gunda. Which is not happeing with the character like Saif ul Allah in Barzukh. His homosexuality is not shown sin, crime or near bad characteristic. Another thing is Hasan how can you say that content don't impact on audience when you both are most vocal person from start that how more positivity should be shown in our dramas either it should be regarding showing good neighbours or good fathers then how can you say it will not have an impact. You say that Qoam e lut ka Qisa itna purana hai but you miss that it is described in Quran as greatest sin with greatest punishment. IS BURZUKH IS GOING TO SHOW THAT PART?
Your platform has always reviewed content that appeals the majority and what the masses want you to review. As far as barzakh is concerned, the public opinion is quite visible. We don't want our platforms to review content of this type.
agreed. they view certain shows with high views and next to no story line just because they are popular. barzakh has a boycott campaign going on, views have fallen, ppl are criticizing it left and right yet they are persistent. really shows the mentality.
I am honestly shocked that dialogues in gentlemen bothered amna more than what is being shown in barzakh. You can’t separate khalil ur rehman mentality from his dramas (understandably so) bht what asim said goes completely unnoticed!!! Talk about double standards. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN IN ISLAM!! Showing it over and over again would lead to desensitisation e.g like showing domestic abuse, let alone glorifying it (which is clearly done in the drama). It doesn’t matter what other content is being shown around the world. As a muslim and a pakistani, its a-shaming that our A list celebrities are a part of it and that it was SHOT in Pakistan!! Content does effect everyone’s mind. Jab animal jeci movie ki baat ho tou sab young minds effect ho gay aapkay according lekin aisay topics pay khamoshi. What the maker of the drama said is a clear statement on his niyat behind the project. Watching it means supporting the cause. #boycottbarzakh
Not to mention how the slap saga effects but this doesn't. That sure is dual standards, unapologetically too. I didn't like amma much and these two educated, intellectual persons were my go to reviewers for catch up on what's going on and what to watch. Sad to say, they are rapidly declining in my eyes
Hassan.. Amna... u have to call a spade a spade. It definitely leaves an impact on young minds. Yes voices should be raised and this should be boycotted - if ur not condemning it you are supporting it.
The way homosexuality becomes normal is by showing it repeatedly over media until it desensitizes everyone. That’s how Netflix has introduced and is constantly working to show it. Yes that one character isn’t going to normalize it but it’s paving path to desensitize individuals eventually
@faizajaved9826 People who say don't watch it if you don't like it don't understand that it will normalise once we allow it to run on any platform. Whether people who are against it watch it or not, the fact remains that those who watch such content will be persuaded first, and then it will spread in society through them, influencing even more people. That is how it became normalised in Western countries. That is why such content must be banned. As a result, it does not become a social norm.
@@samrahmumtaz9469 mera nahi khayal k Pakistan mein esa hony wala kabhi.. Islamic country hai na .. kuch bhi hoga state k apny platforms py kabhi normalize nahi ho skta yeh. to iski itni fikar nahi hai.
@banchan9oo Thank God for it. And, as I've noticed, even our younger generation is strongly opposed to this sin, Homosexulaity. There are few individuals, particularly on Twitter, who enjoy watching homosexuality on PTV. However, we must continue to speak out against the normalisation of homosexuality.
You are absolutely correct. I a Muslim who lives in US and I have noticed for the past 10 years there has been a very deliberate movement to make homosexuality normal and it is apparent in EVERY Netflix show. I have not seen this drama yet but now I am hesitant to watch 😭
Hassan, no one is denying that there are people like Saif ul Allah irl. If there weren't it wouldn't be mentioned in Quran. But being something is itself not a sin as long as you have control on your nafs but when the characters crosses a certain limit, its not something show able on screen. For example, Tere Bin's script was literally changed And it was you guys who disagreed to show such thing on tv , so why not diagree to show this. Also, even if the drama doesn't get so much views there are countless reels on ig of literally every mediocre dramas as well. And today there is not a single teenager who doesn't watch social media and ig in particular. And showing it on screen is definitely influencing them. if you guys appreciate good content being shown on tv then why not raise voice against something wrong ? Really disappointed.
I am glad to read the comments abt barzakh. It means ppl don’t want to normalise it and besides it if Allah has forbidden something that means no More discussion

Aalam Barzakh is a place where only Muslims believe; thus, there can be no two opinions based on reading its title that only Muslims can understand because the title of each story discloses its text. Asim, the drama's writer, exploited the title and the popularity of Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed to market it as a masterpiece in order to apply the drama's premise from his perspective. The narrative conveys no message about reality or societal improvement. This was the most dismal drama of these legendary performers' careers.
I agree barzakh is totally concept which believed by muslims ..and writer saab keh rah rahay k indians k liye drama bana rahay ? Tum ne indians pe banana hai tu holi pe banao , shamshan ghaat pe banao , dewali pe banao ..

Today i watch #Galaxylollywood' s final review about Barzakh. I was very happy to see those people of Galaxy Lollywood raised voice against LGBT scenes.
This is exactly the point. You will never see Shahrukh khan, Salman Khan or Amitab bachan portray nude, intimate or homosexual scenes. I feel our actors hve no bone to express their thoughts or belief. Just like Hassan said he did not like Fawad Khan using bad words, we also did not like him play the gay character. Our actors should learn to refuse to things that go against their beliefs or the beliefs of the society they live in just like Shahrukh or Salman Khan they need to learn to refuse. Our artists should say no to gay characters, concepts that r not accepted widely. they should also replace cursing words...just like wht the fish. They should try to keep their image intact. But sadly I think our actors just get carried away when an Indian production's name is attached to the project. They make us feel small too.

Sorry Hassan totally disagree with you strongly because whatever we make being a Muslim we should stay with in our boundaries. I am very disappointed on both of you about barzakh review.
There are other big issues with Barzakh beside homosexuality. Child actors in Barzakh are asked to deliver some adult jokes. Which comes under child abuse. which is not even a debate that it is right or wrong under any religion or most regions of the world. The scene in first episode with Fawad Khan and his son in a car when they are travelling towards the castle and child actor is telling a joke about "necrophiliac" was so sickening. I don't know how Fawad Khan agreed to deliver that scene with a child actor. For those who don't know what necrophiliac is: "a person who is sexually attracted or has sex with dead bodies". Why this was performed by a child actor?
Something haute will not mention and criticize this shit because the project is big and casting fawad khan. Amna lost a lot of respect in my eyes after her hypocrisy in recent episodes

Murder vs Homosexuality: To begin with, this comparison is absurd. However, to answer your question, murdering is NOT normal in any part of the world but homosexuality is now normal in most of the world and has begun to slowly creep into the Muslim society. That precisely is the reason why concerned parents are worried about this propaganda being normalized.
I am actually disappointed with Amna. Irony is how Amna condems (@50:25) and explicitly tells she couldn't watch a mother mistreating her child due to postpartem depression but she shows no staunch concern about homosexulaity being shown in the drama. Just like watching a mother harming her baby is triggering and upsetting for you, watching homonormative relationships is triggering for many people. These are the DOUBLE STANDARDS we don't like. Somethings being allowed for the sake of diversity and somethings being condemned on the basis of morality. Anything happening in the society doesn't justify its portrayal in the dramas, if that's the case then why not show the celebrities taking a piss or taking a shit as well in the dramas, I believe they do that in reality too. I hope you guys know that most of the people, me being one of them, follow your reviews to see what you guys have to say about the art being portrayed in our Pakistani dramas. Most of us, if not all, relate with you guys and that is the reason we come back to watch your videos again. You guys never shy away from voicing your opinions about dramas and storylines, even making fun of them at times (in a sarcastic way) that we all enjoy, nothing against that. Keeping a blind eye to this matter was bit unexpected for most us. Lastly, kudos to Hassan for at least having the courage to openly say that homosexuality aspect was wrong and unnecessary.
Aamna is being triggered by a woman harming a child because she's a mother and a good human and she could never imagine hurting a child. Why exactly is two people having a consensual relationship triggering you exactly?
@@soumyakunder2014 because even in Hinduism it’s not allowed or considered normal I mean I haven’t heard of “sutras” on these “consensual relations” have you? One can waver a disbeliever into anything but not a believer… Consensual relations aren’t only about consent. Your right in this case, she’s isn’t gay so it’s not her problem and therefore on some level she cannot understand why it can’t be normalized because how does it affect her personally? or anyone with that opinion? Unless thier own was affected then maybe. For now she’s a mother but then lots of people are. Being a Muslim mother means having extraordinary strength of moral character.
@@Lavenderlavenderful Show me where it's given not allowed? It's only after spread of Abrahamic religion they started imposing laws against it. The law that was overturned in India also was a British law so dont tell me about "Western standards ".No where in Hinduism is it mentioned that people from this community must be punished or murdered. And Hinduism doesn't work in the same way in regards to things being prohibited or not. There are many stories where gay and transgender people are included and many demigods born of them. Also the way that you are sarcastic about consent and love explains a lot about you. If it's not natural then how are there so many examples in the animal world too? If someone she's knows is affected by it? Hope you know you are born with a certain orientation few drama scenes won't make you gay. But it will help LGBTQ live as themselves. I believe the intense backlash is because such an iconic duo like Fawad and Sanam that have a proper fan following decided to do such a drama as their comeback. What shocks me as a Muslim Indian living in US is, the desperation these actors are showing by picking up such scripts. Pakistan did not come into notice for being lgbtq+ but because they were portraying ethical and real shows with so much respect. Deep inside what all of us want in life, that’s what we saw on TV. Even the white community is rigid to the woke ideology. So many disney movies have flopped that supported the same because people here do not want that kind of exposure for their kids. To cater to the masses in India you cannot go on the path that Fawad is trying to embark on. Shahrukh/Salman khan have never kissed on screen because the brand they have created is family friendly. Srk is the king of romance, Fawad could’ve been that but now I see unfortunately that we will never truly have what was initially created. Ps. Love your reviews. Waiting for you guys to do regular podcasts so I can have quality content to listen to.

2 things that really suprise me are 1. How can you say you doubt intentions of a project by KRQ because of his personal views but not have the same opinion about Barzakh when the director has very openly said what he thinks. 2. Its taken US literally centuries to get to this point of acceptance of homosexuality. Till even maybe 30years back, gay was used as an insult or something implied in a funny way and then the straight character would be offended to be thought of as gay. Their potrayal of queer character have only now begun to change to where its a normal part of the storyline. And it is still not accepted by everyone. There are literally rallies here in Canada against indoctrination of kids with this stuff. But Pakistaniyon ko daikho na. Direct he jump kar re hain to the point where you’re just shrugging it off. 3. I know I said 2 points but how are you okay with children being used in such sexual scene. That is literally playing to a pedo audience. Baaqi cheezon main west ko follow kar re ho tou do you not see the outrage there is now about kids using sexual innuendos. As Amna said in the last review that we can watch a project as an artwork individually without any baggage, but when you start doubting the sincerity then it spoils the project for you. This is what has happened with me while watching both Gentleman and Barzakh , sadly. KRQ’s written dialogues in Gentleman now sound hollow and hypocritical, and coming from a gunda as per his own philosophy told by him in the drama. Similarly, in Barzakh I thought Saif’s personality was part of his back story and not a promotion of lgbt. But now , after Asim Abbasi’s own statement, it seems like a properly planned agenda. For me Barakh is a lost opportunity, despite being strong technically. Disappointed! ☹️
Pakistani producers and filmmakers have discovered the formula for a lousy project. Simply choose a controversial topic, namely LQBTQ or any other woke concept, then choose the locations that are aesthetically pleasing to watch focus mainly on cinematography and screenplay. They received finance primarily from India or any other Western countries. That's it. Here is your Pakistan's most revolutionary project. Then, they promote it as Pakistan's most innovative, one-of-a-kind, and unique project. Anyone who dares to disagree is labelled as a typical audience who only watches Saas Bahu serials and domestic violence, or they claim that this project is not for a regular Pakistani audience. Joyland, Zindagi Tamasha, and now Barzakh, all of them are examples of this formula extremely mediocre project but in good packaging.
People criticised Saifullah's LGBTQ track in Episode 3 for being unnecessary and having nothing to do with the storyline, but most people said it was depicted as his guilt and therefore necessary, but Episode 4 made it apparent that it was never simply about Saifullah's guilt. Because if it was about guilt, they would never have shown those amorous scenes between Saifullah and that Italian guy. And now, Asim's defence makes it simple that this track was included solely to lend a touch of homosexuality. As I already stated, Barzakh's plot is quite mediocre. Those who were going crazy after Episode 4 they also agreed that the plot isn't particularly cohesive.
The fact I agree with male host that we should be strong enough to watch our children's interests and activities and have shared beliefs and concerns. However, I disagree that in Pakistan, if there is hue and outcry on certain project a co-host said that why not on other projects. If something is insensitive then people should have a right to raise their voice. Extremely disturbing content. It is good that you guys are not only talkin about artwork centric conversations you also talk about their impacts in society. And it is my personal opinion if someone criticized ( without invoking violence) the art and craft from totally religious terms and that most of the people appreciated their efforts then we should also respect their views and concerns regarding the society #NoFahashi #NoBarxakh

Barzakh: AsimAbbasi wrote this drama during Covid and mourning through his father’s passing. He was clearly depressed at that time and it showed in his writing and direction. There are some scenes in the fourth episode where both fawads are just looking around like fools in color changing lights, which make no sense. What are they thinking, viewers have no clue. If one perceive some new thoughts and want it to show to the audiences, they should make it understandable Just showing random visuals won’t make it art. I have my sympathies with Asim Abbasi and I want to give him a piece of advice to refrain from writing for public if he has some existential crisis. He can write a daily journal, just for himself.

Abuse, adultery, and murder are not considered normal in civilized parts of the world. Homosexuality, however, is the new trend. It’s not about Muslims being weak - there’s a Hadith thay there will come a time when holding of to your deen will be like holding burning coal! This display of vulgarity is gradually becoming normal even for Muslims. You always say that we need to stop making such stories because they do effect the mental piece of our audience and somehow people take inspiration from such dramas then how come you are ok saying whatever is showing in Berzakh which is religiously and morally very wrong is ok to show and made?? Things start from somewhere. If we don't stop making such stories, it will become normal as it has become very normal in west. We can never be ok with something which is extremely against our religion. Your show is my favourite thing on youtube. I never miss a single episode and I enjoy watching it so much but yours and Amna's opinion on homosexuality is so disappointing 😢

I was very excited for Barzakh… I am a Pakistani Muslim who lives in US and I have noticed for the past 10 years there has been a very deliberate movement to make homosexuality normal and it is apparent in EVERY Netflix show. I have not seen this drama yet but now I am hesitant to watch 😭
Dear Hassan when u say k dramo me thapar na dekha jaye ta k normalise na ho then same goes for homosexuality being shown in barzakh and the kids saying those dialogues… it’s kinda normalising these things…kuch time baad her 1 dramey me homosexual bhi Daal dengy jaisey thapar
Aamna you have forgotten, there was a lot of backlash on Fawad’s Kapoor and sons. I know because I hadn’t seen the movie, yet I knew he’s playing a gay guy because the news was everywhere.
How can you judge something you didn't even see, like girl pls kapoor and sons was the best emotional rollercoaster you should look it up and see how your perspective will change🎉
Completely disagree with your views on this drama not promoting homosexuality. It definitely is. Why are you guys so apposed to irresponsible parenting, suicide attempts on screen but when it comes to kids making sexual jokes you don’t hold them responsible.
Those who stand for nothing will fall for anything...its just so important that we cannot tolerate the showcasing of such material as tolerating can lead to acceptance...in this day and age people are away from knowledge and iman fluctuates up and down..and its important that protections are put in place..
With all due respect Hassan and Aamna, You can't pick and choose when to engage in subjective criticism. 1. The content we consume shapes us in one way or another. If we follow your logic, both of you should stop criticizing producers and writers whenever they cross a certain line in portraying abuse or any other social issue for that matter kiyun keh saari qoum ko wo aik character thori abuse krna sikhaa raha hai right? 2. When a project is created by Pakistani Muslims and is intended for a broader audience, it must represent both your religion and your culture. Homosexuality, is neither a part of our religion nor our culture. Making it a part of the show perpetuates the false idea that this is who we are. 3. How can a person be comfortable with a kid of that age making inappropriate jokes? I'm pretty sure the entire world knows what a kid that age should and shouldn’t be saying.
Same. I even stopped watching it after 4 min... I couldn't stand the intimacy scene. The name of drama is BARZAKH. And man you are showing love making??? Really? Alam e barzakh ko samjho tou yar phir liberal bano. Rongtay nahi kharay hogye aap k? Seriously these people are sick.
It’s not that the characters will normalise homosexuality but showing devlish things normally is pathetic it affects your mind what ever you watch.Hassan now your whitewashing your views and Aminah in this episode is more reserve about her opinion as compared to before as she was praising Fawad and Barzakh.Aminah ppl doesn’t disscused chorails because it was not so much advertised as Barzakh on every social media channel and Hassan you went overboard discussing Barzakh it’s not worth , you really disoppinted discussing it so much /:
Ok Amna when a husband slaps her wife and when parents married their daughters without their consent that should not be shown on the tv but the barzakh writer and director could show everything that they want to... I mean how do you cater these double standards??? Slapping women can affect the audience's minds but showing homosexuality not???
ASTAGHFIRULLAH... we as muslims have proved we wont watch barzakh ever...lanat on makers and actors ..proud of our muslims who are protesting by not watching it ...
Sorry Hassan and Amina,we strongly disagree with your point of view. We seriously need to condemn such contents, there should be no tolerance towards the ideology even in the name of art which are clearly forbidden by ALLAH. A strong reaction is coming from awam, is because WE ARE NOT BEWAKOOF. India hired our most beloved and most followed actors, quite likely they were offered heavy pay for appearing for such a project, the reason to cast sanam and fawad is only and purely for the sake of popularity and buzz. It is hard for us to process that FAWAD came after 12 years on tv and for THIS?If ZEE Zindagi wanted to showcase such project, they should have hired someone from Indian industry. Why hiring or buying our people, filming in our country and showing such stuff as part of our culture and society but covering it with the name of art ,fiction and as OTT content. No we will not agree to this nonsense and we are not BEWAKOOF!!!

Sorry but disappointed with you guys. How can you justify Homosexuality by saying that suicide, murder are also sins. But they are part of our dramas. Two wrongs do not make other right. Yes, these are also sin and unfortunately have been normalized in our society too.But Ek yeh homosexuality hi bacha hai. Atleast we should try our best to not promote it and normalize it. And keep it away from our country.
Barzakh: it's not about not showing any negativity in a drama, like murder, adultery, harassment, domestic violence or homosexuality etc. What's important is that we don't justify or glorify it in any shape or form, like Hassan and Amna have always taken a stance for. I agree with Hassan saying that just showing a homosexual character in a drama will not make people think homosexuality is allowed, however, making people empathise with a murderer and a homosexual and creating a justification for his actions is certainly wrong and will normalize these acts. We have yet to see how Saifullah's character is concluded but so far, I feel, we've only been made to empathise with him. The whole narration of the story of the sun and the moon by the italian character and places where Salman Shahid's characters explain's to his grandson how people are afraid of certain kinds of "love" and hence they condemn it; all these parts in the drama are only added to provide a justification for adultry and homosexuality.
This drama is a big big step towards making in normal and acceptable in Pakistan. I don't want to judge your intentions, so would suggest please go and learn more. You have a voice that matters, that means more responsibility. Are you kidding me when you're saying people's reaction is extreme. For God's sake, they are pushing an agenda now, which had never happened before. Please get educated on the issue. And then speak.
Its not just the problem with the gay character but also the way scenes are shown just for sensationalizing the episode . A gay character would have been acceptable if you just wanted to show a gay man struggling within himself while clearly stating that its wrong religiously. We saw a gay character involved in se*ual activities in Mrs and Mr Shameem no one boycotted the series because we knew Kashif Nisar would not sell his drama on scenes for the sake of shock value . And when Asim clearly says that he and his team will vigorously advocate rights for queer people , the intention behind this is evident .
Sorry to say Hasan and Amna just because you review these dramas doesn't mean you speak for all Pakistani people we don't want our kids viewing nonsense dramas like Barzakh and it should be boycotted 😡

content all over the world, affects the society, in one way or another, so completely writing off the fact that things being shown in the name of content can't affect anyone in any way cz its been going on for thousands of years, is absolutely wrong....thousands of years pehly b jab ye hota tha, tou log is cheez ki taraf jatay thy or isiliye us qoum pe azaab aaya tha.....and everywhere around the world jab koi b questionable content banta hai, so people raise voice exactly because of the fact that it will affect the society, laddu khanay k liye nai awaaz uthaty log..... and the most prominent example is, Islamophobia....the way muslims have been presented after 9/11, has taken Islamophobia to such peaks that muslims have been brutally murdered, stabbed, ridiculed and banned....Hassan himself gave this reference....and if Hassan and Amna think that it wasn't because of the media and the anti-muslim content, than i think they should really re-think what they're doing as a content consumer and reviewer.....
Wao you guys are saying watching these scenes will not effect minds. Then come back to your all previous shows where you guys kept saying on every single time on every single slap to women scenes or showing bad fathers ...you always said that ": we beleive that it happens in society but we don't need to show everything in our dramas"" by your words. Then how are you saying now k "" LGBT scenes showing in screen will not affect to generations mind" That's wrong ! Pls correct yourself first.
As a indian, i feel that indians are more protective than Pakistanis about their religion because Muslims in india try to remember despite living in between some many religions and controversives but these so called pakistani industry does not know why they keep forgetting the words of Allah.
Why isn't Fahad Mustafa doing more acting projects??!! What a delightful performance in Kmkt! In the short span of 8 episodes he has effortlessly charmed his way through so many emotions. With him being the most popular game show host, a producer and a big budgeted commercial films hero, it's easy to forget his acting prowess. Absolutely loving the abandon, tenderness, intelligence, devil may care attitude being portrayed brilliantly by him.
Seriously, he wasted so many of his prime years hosting that so-called game show, Jeeto Pakistan. I wasn't a fan of his acting before KMKT, but after watching KMKT, he won me over. His acting is so natural and flawless. I was initially disappointed when I saw his name listed as a hero in KMKT, but he proved me wrong. Even Hania and him as a pair look fantastic. Everyone, myself included, was not at all pleased with the plot at first, but I just love how the story turned out after their marriage. Except for Rubab and her fake accent, I adore everything about this drama.

We agree to disagree... I feel you are not looking at Barzakh from publics lense... hosts are being biased towards Fawad, Sanam n others , ...there are so many flaws in Barzakh story...nobody is objecting to high quality camerawork n beautiful location used .. But associating it with our faith n culture is what makes it disturbing n tries to distort our beliefs... your moral compass might not be so strong, kindly dont decieve the public by showing support n brushing these issues under the carpet ....just to get a place into Netflix , we can't stoop low to lose our morals This could be a learning curve n
We understand that Barzakh is made for an international platform but we should not forget that we should use our media to promote our culture and our norms...Barzakh has a lot that has nothing to do with our religion and our norms

Back in 2020 I used to watch Netflix so much and it impacted my salah. I kept having waswasy in salah and I knew it's happening because of my exposure to content like money heist and elite. So I stopped watching them and before starting any series I would ask my friends if there is any nudity or not. Most of the American seasons don't contain nudity so I would go for American shows, there were some other concerns like lgbt for me so I stopped watching American shows too and now I watch Korean shows. I didn't want my mind to normalise things which aren't normal in real life, I have religious consciousness and I try to watch something which falls under my boundaries. There were times when I like homosexual couples because they were pushed to my screen and they would grow on me. Hence what we watch impact our mind, I hope this clears my point.

Please go watch that video
Barzakh: There should be a Rating for show. Many inappropriate things are shown including murder and animal abuse. Sure actors taken for this drama are A-class doing A-class acting but they have crammed every social and mental health issues, drug use in this series and riding very much on SENSATIONALISM effect and SHOCK VALUE. The director is doing the same thing saas-bahu sensationalism to simply another situation. Should we call it a good drama when everything is crammed in 6 episodes? The name Barzakh is to attract us all, he could have called it Chamman. I think this was very unfair to the audience. Controversy sells and that’s what producer will make money here.
Barzakh.. this is a supernatural drama, but I don't like the portrayal of homosexuality in it. Because Allah Almighty has said that the more you describe the evil, the more it will become common, and people will end up hating this evil. So, one should avoid showing things🤨🤨🤨

Im sorry Hassan and Amna. Ive been watching ur content and reviews for so long and i have always appreciated ur work, but this time around you are absolutely wrong. Itna lamba chora explanation dene ki zaroorat he nhi thi. I dont think its that hard to say something is wrong. I think you guys know better than us. Why do you guys say its wrong to show violence on tv, even if its not glorified. Because its normalising. Its like showing a way to those who might not see it as an option. Domestic violence has also been around for centuries. That doesnt mean we need to put it in every drama despite showing it in bad light. Extremely disappointed in your reviews. We seriously expected more. This act of being woke has gotten you no where.
Totally disagree with Hasan. It’s in one drama then if no body said anything then it will be in other dramas as well. We won’t watch Pakistani dramas for this because every Indian drama film has atleast one home sexual character same goes to Hollywood
Im sorry i don't agree here. What ever is being put on TH-cam is/can be viewed by anyone. That puts a huge responsibility on creators shoulders. Then it will not be "just" the parents responsibility.
Hassan’s concept about religion and the world in general are v clear. Amna was much restricted this time. Seemed she’s avoiding any controversial statement regarding Barzakh.
2. Amna said in the previous episode “I am not against homosexuality part because apparently I am not doubting the intention of the maker”
The make himself clears his intention.

Disgusted defending Barzakh for just fawad khan, very shameful.

Murder vs Homosexuality: To begin with, this comparison is absurd. However, to answer your question, murdering is NOT normal in any part of the world but homosexuality is now normal in most of the world and has begun to slowly creep into the Muslim society. That precisely is the reason why concerned parents are worried about this propaganda being normalized.
💯
you think a lil bit of lgbt will corrupt the nation when the ppl of the nation are this extreme?
Consensual relations aren’t only about consent. Your right in this case, she’s isn’t gay so it’s not her problem and therefore on some level she cannot understand why it can’t be normalized because how does it affect her personally? or anyone with that opinion?

2 things that really suprise me are
Bs queerness k waqt liberal hojatay hain. Confused pakistani.

And it is my personal opinion if someone criticized ( without invoking violence) the art and craft from totally religious terms and that most of the people appreciated their efforts then we should also respect their views and concerns regarding the society

If one perceive some new thoughts and want it to show to the audiences, they should make it understandable
Just showing random visuals won’t make it art.
I have my sympathies with Asim Abbasi and I want to give him a piece of advice to refrain from writing for public if he has some existential crisis. He can write a daily journal, just for himself.

This display of vulgarity is gradually becoming normal even for Muslims.
Fawad and Sanam could have refused after reading the script. Why didnt they?

Sorry but disappointed with you guys. How can you justify Homosexuality by saying that suicide, murder are also sins. But they are part of our dramas. Two wrongs do not make other right. Yes, these are also sin and unfortunately have been normalized in our society too.But Ek yeh homosexuality hi bacha hai. Atleast we should try our best to not promote it and normalize it. And keep it away from our country.
As Muslims we condemn the filth shown in Barzakh #boycottbarzakh
Exactly

Hassan’s views are dramatically changed or he is desensitized!!
I'm a fan of Fahad since Main Abdul qadir hoon. He is really good.
Completely agree with you. As a diehard fan of him it makes me sad.
He is soooo good in KMKT
I'm enjoying his performance very much
He has that chocolate hero charm ..and his acting is cherry on top
Boycottt barzakh...highly disappointed from both of u 😔especially hassan....u both r too much obsessed with fawad that u literally don't understand difference between right or wrong
We agree to disagree... I feel you are not looking at Barzakh from publics lense... hosts are being biased towards Fawad, Sanam n others , ...there are so many flaws in Barzakh story...nobody is objecting to high quality camerawork n beautiful location used .. But associating it with our faith n culture is what makes it disturbing n tries to distort our beliefs... your moral compass might not be so strong, kindly dont decieve the public by showing support n brushing these issues under the carpet ....just to get a place into Netflix , we can't stoop low to lose our morals
This could be a learning curve n
We understand that Barzakh is made for an international platform but we should not forget that we should use our media to promote our culture and our norms...Barzakh has a lot that has nothing to do with our religion and our norms

Are you kidding me? Homosexuality iz rampant in Pakistan. It's just under wraps, that's all.
This is why I watch Pakistani, Korean and Turkish shows and skip Netflix
Churails is not available for everyone. Same as for Netflix content. But barzakh is available for everyone and if this lgbt content is available and that too from the makers that are from Pakistan.
Yes shame on them by putting up such content without age restriction. It was promoted as family show whereas it isnt!!!!
Ye shi hai jab kuch bohat acha banta hai tu ap hi log kehte hain k asie projects banne chahiye kyuk inse logo ko inspiration milegi logon k andar positivity ayegi aur jab barzakh jaisa project bana tu ap kh rhe hain k logo pe affect nhi hona chahiye ... positivity itni tezi se nhi phelti jitni negativity
Absolutely agreed
Sorry to say Hassan, but Saifullah has been shown in a soft light despite the baggage so young minds wouldn't mind his actions. 😊
If soft lighting is the only thing that is needed to turn young minds gay then I have some bad news for you buddy
Our kids have watched it because A) its on youtube available for everyone to watch. B) it doesnt have any warnings whatsoever unlike netflix which gives proper guidelines on top of each and every episode of a show. Our makers should be more responsible about the way their content is being promoted

yes, the 4th episode of Barzakh dragged out the Lumberdar scenes...But the 5th episode totally makes up for it; comes full circle! Won't spill the beans! 🙏😍
You yourself admitted that the director pushed the limit and tried to create a hue and cry. There had to be a backlash. Thats it we hate it and we will boycott it because he is not even sorry for it. He is being more stubborn and totally rejected the feelings of the public.
Once again let me remind you that when Fawad Khan was promoting Kapoor and Sons, he himself said that if kissing on screen is normalized than the a gay character screen will also be normalized.

All of us regular viewers are soo disappointed
