My Father was the Station Master at Ledsham, I loved living in the Station House next door as it overlooked the platforms, great for train spotting. A Mr.Oliver used to keep bees in our garden…..and of course Mrs.Hayden used to manage the hotel. Great times!
Fascinating. I was one of a large crowd of schoolchildren present when Her Majesty arrived in Chester earlier that day. Don’t recall it being so wet, though. .PS Ledsham station is long gone, of course.
