Like to tjink my dad was on one of these . He was a Fireman at Salop (Shrewsbury) to the uninitiated. Shame it wasnt 4K with Dolby Surround Sound . 😂 Thanks for sharing. 👍👍😎😎
@@alanbartlett9523To be honest, I don't know Hooton at all, only from pics and it looked similar because of the very wide trackwork there. Looks like a bit of a mix up then regarding the title of the video. I used to see the odd one (Crosti) down the North Wales Coast mainline, I expect they were mainly Birkenhead engines, but maybe not.
Some great numbers on 3 of the loco's...45353, 42727 and 47272. Lovely to see.

Definitely Bromford Bridge, just looked at NLS side by side maps. The warehouse next to the station is the giveaway - good spot.
My old spotting grounds.....................Chester and Hooton, happydays....................................
Great video of around Chester.
Man the 9F's looked like completely different locos without their smoke deflectors.
Because they were originally built with Crosti boilers with a chimney on the side. Odd looking engines they were.
...actual film of a 9f Crosti boiler working before reconversion... wow!
The 9F,92029 at 3.01 looked like Bromford Bridge heading towards Birmingham. You can see Fort Dunlop in the distance. Great footage.
Was that not Hooton? 92029's last shed was Birkenhead so not that far away.
@@levelcrossing150 9f's from all over were common at Saltley.92029 was a regular at 21a. Definately Bromford Bridge.

No GW types, expected to see at least some 57XX panniers.
