    It's always helpful to see you walk through the process, experimenting along the way. So often people think we just "know" this stuff, set it up, and bang! But the reality is that for almost every new shot there is a bit of a lighting curve to learn...and I love this part! I also find that it helps if I talk to myself in a Swedish accent while I fuss and tweak things.

      I agree 100%! Thanks Peter, soon I will start doing the videos with an German accent...

      @@botvidsson I was so nervous watching it haha. Fab video I am thoroughly enjoying your tutorials and seeing the end result. In particular I like the Watch photography. You have a nice set up, would you be able to do a video on the basics to achieve reasonable lighting. Maybe as set up on a budget $400 (if even possible?)

      Thanks a lot! Happy to inspire.
      It's a bit hard, I have the equipment I have. If a brand/sponsor one day send some stuff to try out I will do a video.
      Best way to start is probably with Godox flashes, people are very happy with that brand.

    • @botvidsson

      I'm working on a Frequency Separation Photoshop Action I'm planning to sell...
      If I manage to get it to work the way I want I will do a video how to use the action.
      There are many variations of frequency separation actions out on the internet, many are free.

    Love your content! Out of curiosity, could you have done this shot with a really small f stop to avoid focus stacking in post?

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly I did not do a focus stacking on this photo. Or...?

      Apologies, I'm not sure how I commented on that video, it was meant for this one th-cam.com/video/2OrXyYER8RI/w-d-xo.html as it's such a small single item, could you have got away with focusing sharp with a longer focal length? just curious as to what dictates focus stacking. thank you

    Could you tell me what tripod and tripod head that is? I really need something with a horizontal attachment that is very sturdy for jewelry products requiring macro focus stacking.

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can see all the gear in the video link I send you.
      The head is crazy expensive - Arca Swiss Cube, approx $1500! I would get one of Manfrottos 3-way heads, I have the small one.

    Do you shoot CGI images or just practical? Your practical product shooting is amazing! but just curious if you know how to do CGI

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I have not jumped on that train yet, if I find the time I will cuz it's the future. (It's actually already here 😁 as you probably know)

      @@botvidsson I hear ya. Someone wanted me to shoot a white on white product for amazon and the examples they showed me to compare too were CGI images. I told them don't compare what I'm giving them to their examples cause I don't do that..lol. seems like more and more nowadays are turning that way. Kind of sad because ppl won't appreciate the hard work that goes into raw product photography. Your very talented / knowledgable at what you do and ill always choose practical over CGI crap! Anyway, thanks for all the amazing knowledge and I hope to join your TH-cam soon to learn even more. Have a blessed day🙏
