There are two things. Quran doesn’t mention women having to be virgins. Neither does it mention that of the man. What if the Muslim MAN who marries a Christian woman is not a virgin. He deserves a chaste woman when he is not chaste himself? No. I don’t think a man who has slept around is deserving of a woman who saved herself. No matter the religion. This is a very good question. It's dangerous for Muslim men to marry a non Muslim women because the children might be affected. Normally It's the mother who is closest to the kids and imagine if she teaches the kids that Allah has a son and it's OK to pray to someone else (God forbid). What a clashed household it will be

The problem is. Almost all of the women raised in Christian countries “even if baptised does not seek God for answers or trust in his guidance, so they take upon themselves to “feel” through everything making harsh and unpredicted decisions that eventually will destroy the marriage.
It is disappointing to have "chastity" measured in terms of "virginity", especially by such an influential speaker. Chastity is a concept of purity of heart, and a chaste person is one who actively attempts to guard their modesty. But attempts are not always successful; a girl who's lost her virginity due to being a victim of rape should not be considered unchaste. Using the term "virgin" to define chaste women is unfair, as it stigmatizes these victims, the number of whom is ever growing in today's world. Besides, many of our beloved prophet's (saw) wives were not virgins at the time of their marriage to him; defining chaste women as being virgin would be an insult to them.

I was wondering this also because what about divorced women? They are no longer chaste but it is actually sunnah to marry them. With Arabic and the root word system , various definitions can arise from the those roots so I am sure if delved deeper your definition would make sense or else this interpretation would mean Allah swt is saying don’t marry divorced women but it is against the sunnah and logic .
Google says your definition of chastity is wrong and he was talking about non muslim women not muslim women. He was even referring to a verse that said a believing slave woman is better than a pure non muslim woman.

Perhaps you are confusing the notion of a 'Christian background' (which most people in the west would simply consider as moral subjectivity), with that of a practicing Christian.

Brothers can only marry Unitarian Christian women, not Trinitarian. Not all Christians are permissible, esepcially one who claims that Isa (pbuh) is divine and part of a Trinity.

Back when Islam came, some Christians remaind Christians, but those people didn't believe that " Jesus " was god or the son of god, they believed he was a prophet just like Muhammed ( peace be upon him ) so basically they believed in one God who is Allah and believe in prophet Muhammed too ( but they didn't convert to Islam yet )...So it's permissible for Muslim men to marry a Christian woman in two conditions:
1- She should be a woman who never had sex before marriage.
2- She shouldn't believe that Jesus is God or the son of God.
, however now it's not the same, most Christians now believe Jesus is god or the son of god and believe the trinity thing ( which makes them for us " Mushrekin " ) and they don't believe in prophet Muhammad at all and say he was a liar, now that makes it forbidden for muslims to marry them, but if they don't, then it's okay.

2 Corinthians 6:14 says this;
'Do not be yoked [Married] together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?'
We do not single out any particular faith, but simply regard it ill advised for a Christian woman to marry any man outside of the loving leadership of a Christian man, (someone who is striving to follow Jesus's example).

second: they are Brave enough.
third, most whom i see converted to Islam are very kind, always following the right path and do their prayers, they always ask Questions and wonder. i see this very beautiful.
fourth, there is Hadeeth of prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) encouraging to marry from a religious woman, which she will.

Unless if that man will change his faith you’ll have to look somewhere else. Ppl think it’s ok to interfaith but it’s not. It’s not even about religion. It’s about faith, if you believe Jesus died on the cross but your bf becomes your husband trust me you 2 will have major disputes and eventually divorce. It’s a spiritual thing, spiritual healing. Muslims do not believe that Jesus is the son of God, but believe he was a prophet. To say Jesus is not the son of God with all the miracles he performed is to say God is not all powerful all seeing and all loving. I believe that if her marries this christian lady he might be able to convert her to Islam. I married a Muslim and I converted to Islam, it doesn't matter if she is a Virgin or not if she is a good woman and can change her ways, she will be happy with her marriage. But, he has to do his part too.

If it was by her choice then let it be, have you also thought that it could be rape or someone just taking advantage of her innocents? Maybe she was married before, what about some men? They may not be virgins either, should a girl consider this too? Yes we all want purity, but sometimes it's not always what we want, it is what Allah has for us, and Allah is the best of planners.
What about the man? Does your god not require virgin Male? Men who are chastised? Or is that a double standard throughout and all the way back to the origin of your faith???
In Islam it is not necessary for the man or the woman to be virgin. The rule is you can only have relationship with your spouse. You cannot have relationship if you're not married. And this rule is same for male and female.

Being a virgin at the age of 33 made me so frustrated that sometimes (please don’t judge me) I wished if I didn’t wait for marriage till this day !! I question my self , is this normal Allah ? Did ALLAH & Islam thinks it’s ok for my mental and psychological health to not have a woman at all !!!! It’s PAINFUL!
One day,your future wife will come.Allah swt know at what time is perfect for you.Even if its come opposite,which mean you will not married before you died,just remember that Allah swt knows the best from you.If Allah dont give what you want,it means Allah want to protect you.We as human doesnt know anything what will happen in future.Try to calm yourself.If you cant control yourself,always remember there are ways how to overcome it in Islam.Do more sunnah prayer,fasting,etc.Always think positive with Allah swt decision.

You clearly did not listen to the whole answer. Dr Zakir Naik mentioned in 'Surah Imran', Allah swt clearly mentions that there are people amongst the Christians who are momin I.e believers and do not believe Jesus is the son of God and we know this is true. So therefore there are conditions to be met to marry a Christian woman and that is that she is one of those 'mominas' I. e believing, chaste women and hence there is no contradictions in the ruling.
My duty is not to convert I try to do my work I give exams , I try to be a good person , I try to be better than what I was yesterday ,, be a educated person and participate in improving Islam as much as possible ,, I use my word of mouth to protest to speak about what is right and what is wrong ,, I don't have supports I am not a big I fkuencer I am a divorcee married wrong misled misguided , fighting against unfairness and fighting for a living ,, I speak so that people come to Islam people bring faith although I dont invite them to Islam knocking at doors at expect the friendliness that used to be when I was work i g a s teacher but I see many Muslim women men are against me , I don't have followers ,, but I do my best as I can

I'm Christian (unitarian Protestant) and we are permitted to marry whoever we want if it's for love (my particular sect is more liberal than Catholics, for instance we are accepting of Lgbt and female priests) we do not believe we are sinning. We believe Jesus was not God, more he was the representative of God or his son. It differ's somewhat from your prophet (peace be upon him). I admire your adherence to your rules.

i think its better to follow Surah Al Baqrah .verse no.221 as compare to follow Surah Al Maida verse no.5.because What ever Abdullah bin Abbas says in bukhari is the interpretation of Surah Al Baqrah verse.no.221.that we cannot marry christian or jew woman because there is not a single one amongst them who do belive that Allah is God.so they worship jesus.and we worship Allah who is our creator so how can we marry a christian woman.?

Its based on moon sightng in the area u live rather than what other countries are doing. So u can have a moon sighting in one country because skies are clear and the moon is visibly there or in another country there may be a moon but conditions might not make it easily seen.
But for convenience or unity sake a lot of countries usually follow Saudi.
